Unique comfortable home
House in convenient location.
Enjoyed the hot tub & fireplace.
Great location and wonderful garden
We stayed here in September with our family and the pictures are exactly what you get. It is in a great location and its such a cozy and quaint home. The gardens in the back and front of the property are just beautiful. My daughter got married in Niagara on the Lake and we got some fantastic pictures of her in the backyard. I would love to stay here again. Thank you Shelagh for sharing your beautiful home!
Pretty house on a quiet street close to Lake and downtown
This house was clean, very well stocked, extremely comfortable beds and nicely decorated. House is located on a quiet residential street, short walk to lakefront and 15 minute walk (5mjn drive) to restaurants, coffee, etc. The owner was super responsive. House was well designed and outdoor spaces were lovely and we enjoyed the hot tub. This house is clearly loved and well taken care of by the owner. We would definitely stay here again.
A lovely home to spend time in and enjoy.
The house was located in a nice quiet neighborhood. We did not find a way of walking to restaurants but it was close enough that it was an easy drive. We found several nice places for lunch and dinners. The kitchen was an easy place for us to prepare our breakfasts. We found the beds very comfortable. The bath on the first floor was small but fine for a few days. The deck and garden was wonderful.
Would go back in a heartbeat.
Amazing!!!!! Loved the house and the area very much.
Great house for our daughter's wedding
We hosted our daughter's wedding at the Kurtz's peach orchard, and needed a house for preparations and during the wedding. This house was perfect, in that there was plenty of room to set everything up. On the day of the wedding, there was a constant bustle with hairdressers, make-up people and photographers all over the place, while the grandparents had a chance to escape to the cozy sun-room. The bride had a large private room upstairs to get ready.
The back yard was a wonderful backdrop for the pre-wedding photos.Even the front of the house with the ivy resulted in some awesome pictures.
We accidentally left some jewelry behind. Shelagh contacted us the same day and is mailing them to us.
Thank you for being such great hosts.

For sports enthusiasts, rent a bicycle from Zoom and ride the bike trails along the Niagara River. North America's oldest golf course is around the corner from Lakeview House. It's a public course and the clubhouse patio has the best view in town. Play tennis at the local courts, rent a paddle board or kayak in Lake Ontario.
There are the annual church/farm festivals: Strawberry Festival at St. Andrews church on the third Saturday in June, the Cherry Festival at St. Mark’s church on the first Saturday in July and the Peach Festival on the second weekend in August. The locals gather at the extremely popular Wednesday night Supper Market. This community event of food trucks and local restaurants serving food, wine, and beer has quickly become a weekly social gathering place for locals and visitors. Pull up a colourful picnic table, bring your own chairs or blanket, listen to a band and watch the kids dance.
