About Clare Seibert

I was lucky enough to grow up in this beautiful community and had many adventures exploring the Chesapeake Bay and the surrounding forests in the neighborhood. It was a dream come true when we were able to buy a vacation home in the neighborhood... We hope that we can share the magic of it with other travelers and nature lovers looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to visit!

Clare Seibert purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Clare Seibert chose Port Republic

The view says it all....

What makes this cabin unique

It is truly unique to be waterfront, but also surrounded by a lush, heavily forested area (forever protected by a land trust!) Eagles are commonplace and wildlife is everywhere in this environmentally conscientious community. Our cabin is just 3 homes away from the border of a local nature preserve which you can use our canoe to explore.

Very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We were only there for three nights but it was all very relaxing.

We had relatives in the area so did not take meals in the cabin, but the daytime hikes and the night sky were perfect.

Fantastic sunrises with eagles

  • 5 of 5

The cabin sits high on a cliff facing east. The sunrises are amazing and burst forth over the horizon. Fantastic views of the bay, boats/ships and bald eagles at eye level. The community is great for a good work out walk with curves and hills and cottages and wildlife. There are multiple access points down to the water. All the neighbors are very friendly and proud of their community. The cabin is wonderful with 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a wall of windows facing the bay with views from the greatroom, kitchen and enclosed porch/den. The owners are very nice and helpful.

The views are great, with eagles flying over the bay as well as right above our heads while sitting in the adirondack chairs. The sun rises and sun sets were beautiful. Our stay was very relaxing. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and the owner was very friendly and easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay very much !

Great views, well-appointed!

  • 5 of 5

The house is very comfortable and has stunning views of the bay. We became dilettante bird watchers with all the hummingbirds and (off in the distance) bald eagles to see.
