A New England native who has lived in California, Russia, Chile and the Netherlands, for years I was a homeowner on Plum Island in Newburyport, Massachusetts, where I lived in the off-season and enjoyed meeting the many great families from across the country and around the world who rented my home for their summer vacations. Our family recently moved to Kittery, where we continue to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle and natural beauty of the Seacoast area plus all the culture of Portsmouth. Comfortable apartment with everything you need
Great location for visiting Portsmouth and coast.
My wife, 2 year old son and myself stayed here for a week. The internet really is high-speed. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous views of the Piscataqua River. Right between downtown Portsmouth and Kittery. Owner is very friendly and easy to work with. We hope to stay here again one day.
Great base for exploring Portsmouth and surroundings
We had a great stay in the apartment. It has a fantastic location - easy walking distance to downtown Portsmouth and good access by car to the lovely beaches in Maine and New Hampshire. There is a good choice of restaurants a few minutes walk away on Badger Island, in addition to those in Portsmouth.
The sitting room is lovely - large and bright. I would recommend bringing an eyeshade if you are planning on sleeping on the sleeper sofa as there are no curtains on 2 of the windows.
I had hoped that the bedroom downstairs would be a bit larger than it looked on the photo - it wasn't, but the bed was comfortable and the wardrobe is large.
We hadn't noticed the cleaning requirements when we booked, but there is nothing unreasonable on the list and there is a reasonable amount of time with the later check out time to get things done.
Jill was easy to deal with and helpful and gave us some great suggestions. Overall a great stay for a reasonable price.
Convenient Location to Portsmouth
We enjoyed our two week vacation in this apartment located just over the bridge from Portsmouth. Full access to two car garage was a unique perk for our bikes and sports equipment. Easy access to beach, paddling, and Portsmouth history, cultural and night life.

The photos do not do justice to the wonderful water views from this apartment. The location is great, convenient to Maine beaches and a short walk into charming downtown Portsmouth. The apartment is well-equipped and well-furnished. Highly recommended. We would happily stay there again.
Excellent, clean, property
Property was in a great location, immaculately clean and bright. Jill greeted us when we arrived and couldn't have been nicer. We walked to Badger Island and Portsmouth. Great location and views. Would definitely stay again.

This is a very special place, with the best of all New England has to offer in easy reach - much of it without even needing a car! Quaint homes, churches and brick town centers; beautiful beaches, rivers and woods; historic forts and parks; hiking, skiing, biking, swimming; fantastic restaurants, theater and music; proximity to Boston, Portland and the towns and beaches of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Oh, and some of the best sunsets you'll find. Opt for Kittery/Portsmouth over the crowds and traffic of York or Cape Cod, you'll never go back!
Rates & Availability
In order to keep rental rates low and turnover periods as short as possible, guests are asked to clean the apartment prior to departure. A (reasonable!) list is provided along with cleaning products. The owner provides clean linens (sheets and towels) and will wash linens at the end of your stay. Failure to clean the apartment will result in withholding of part of the security deposit to pay for professional cleaners. Garage is not available for December 2017-April 2018. Please note that the monthly rental rate for the off-season assumes a minimum of 6 months stay and is exclusive of electricity which will be billed separately from the electric company.
