What makes this Apartment unique
It will take you back near 300 years! Walking distance from the Lavaca Guest House is San Antonio’s B Cycle stand. Rent a bicycle and take a ride along the mission trail. The mission trail is a walking/cycling trail along the scenic San Antonio River. It will take you back to the year 1718 when you visit the Queen of the Missions, San Jose; the Alamo, San Antonio de Padua; and the other 3 monumental missions— Concepcion, San Francisco de la Espada and San Juan Capistrano missions. Park your car and save on fuel. Alternate transportation is readily accessible—walk, bicycle, trolley or Primo. Primo is S.A. mass transportation system. One or the other transportation can take you downtown, the Riverwalk, King William Historic District, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the Henry B. Gonzalez convention center, the Alamo and to the other 4 Spanish missions. The first San Antonio mission was built in 1718 by Franciscan friars and Coahuiltecan natives. Experience a romantic evening walking to the King William Historic District or dining along the Riverwalk. There will be so much to do and so little time to do it all. The key will be to plan ahead.

Quiet neighborhood, easy access to Convention Center and Riverwalk
Well-located, not far from the Interstate (but not so close you hear it). A short walk to the Convention Center and access to the Riverwalk, and never needed a car.
Cozy home near Hemisphere Park
My wife and I stayed in the Lavaca House this past February thru late March and found the home very comfortable and cozy. It was ideal for just the two of us, though we periodically had our grandson stay over. Hemisphere Park, the Riverwalk and downtown San Antonio are within a few minutes walk, plus the restaurants and night spots of Southtown and Blue Star are within a short walk as well. I would highly recommend it for a single, or couple, wanting a great location near the Convention Center, Downtown, or the Alamo Dome. The landlord lives nearby and is readily available to help out. We had an issue with the TV cable, and our AC; both were handled right away and it was comforting to realize the owners were nearby. Will come back again given the chance to visit this wonderful city again.
The good thing about this place is that it’s in a great spot to explore Southtown and downtown. We had a problem getting the key and had to call VRBO for help, and while the owner was very nice and apologetic, it was a rough way to begin. There is a cleaning fee, which I’m fine with, except It wasn’t all that clean when we arrived. There was an old kcup left in the coffee maker, and dust and hair in the bathroom both on the floor and beard stubble in the linen closet. There were no paper towels and not many bath towels either. These are probably a quick fix but since we were only there for a weekend I didn’t want to have to deal with issues. There’s also no door on the bedroom, if you care about that.
Nice, relaxing and quiet
I was attending a conference at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center for several days. This little bungalow was perfect fit. It took between 5-10 minutes to walk from here to the back entrance of the convention center. Owner is very helpful and accommodating should you need anything. I would stay here again.
Guest are our friends and family, alway welcome!
Great place and neighborhood
Very safe and best location for every thing. From Restaurants to easy access to the river walk. Downtown living is Great. The owners made sure you have everything you need. I will stay in these properties on my next visit to San Antonio Thank you again.
