This 38 m2 studio, very recently renovated (September 2015), is located on the 3d floor (without elevator), in a calm and silent working-class building from the XVII century.
The building is of a humble origin and some parts are currently being renovated, however, the studio is entirely renovated, comfy and relaxing.
The building is situated in the heart of the Borgo Dora, an old, multi-cultural neighborhood well known for its artists, antique dealers, local restaurants and cute cafes, and which has been undergoing a significant urban upgrade for several years.
Less than 10 minutes away from downtown Torino, the building is right next to the Maglio, the Arsenale della Pace, the great Porta Palazzo market, and just a few minutes away from the Porte Palatine (ancient Roman Gates), the Piazza Castello and the Duomo (the city's cathedral).
The studio can host 4+1 persons.
There is a double bed and a 140x204 cm double sofa bed (+ we can provide an extra single mattress), 100% new bathroom and kitchen with everything necessary to cook and bed sheets. In short, everything needed to have a very nice stay.
We will answer all your questions with pleasure before and during your stay at our studio and we will do whatever we can to help you in case of need.
Michele will wait for you in front of the building to welcome you and provide you with some hints and indications about the studio and the city.
The studio is situated in a characteristic multiethnic neighborhood just after Piazza della Repubblica, where every business day from about 7am to 1pm you can enjoy the largest European food market (Porta Palazzo).
Every Saturday, the market lasts until 7pm and the small streets around our studio become the location of a traditional and very cute flea market.
Every second Sunday of the month, on the other hand, takes place on these streets the renowned Gran Balôn market, where you will find all sorts of antiques and particular objects for sale, as well as a very friendly and live ambience.
Just a few minutes away from the studio you can visit some of the city's most important monuments and museums such as the Porte Palatine, the Duomo, the Palazzo Reale, the Galleria Sabauda, the MAO (Museum of oriental art). But do not forget to walk through the pittoresque and multi-cultural Via Borgo Dora. Here you can enjoy a delicious ice cream at the Gelateria Popolare, taste a delicious Italian Espresso at the many cafes and some traditional cuisine at local restaurants.
You can easily get to the studio from the train stations Porta Susa or Porta Nuova via bus or streetcar (detailed directions available after booking).
Direct buses to the airports Caselle or the Milan's airports (e.g. Malpensa) can be taken in front of the Porta Susa train station.
The main bus and streetcar lines going through the city are just 400 meters away from the studio.
Parking is free right in front of the studio and most of the area beyond the market (Piazza della Repubblica).
Nearby Paid Parking garages :
- CORSO XI FEBBRAIO, 3 (open 24/24, 1.5 Euro per hour)
- PIAZZA EMANUELE FILIBERTO, 14 ( open 24/24, 1.5 Euro per hour)
It is a working-class building and some parts of the common area are to be restored and renovated. This, however, has no impact whatsoever on the comfortability of the studio which is entirely renovated and isolated.
I will be available to answer all of your questions before and during your stay and I will be happy to help you organizing your stay. Michele will meet you in front of the building to welcome you and show you the apartment.
