The house is well equipped, and very comfortable.

The stream in front of the house is very wonderful. Nothing more relaxing to me than the sound of running water. We enjoyed our stay very much. The whole area is very beautiful with the VA Creeper Trail & many places to hike and explore.

Just so beautiful

The cabin was clean and larger than expected. Opening the windows at night and listening to the stream was heavenly! My husband and I cannot wait to come back.

Unforgottable memories! Great cabin, owners, and location!

  • 5 of 5

We will aways remember this short family trip to Mount Rogers. The cabin has all necessery amenities, and it is made of solid wood! Location itself is a gem as well. A small creek running right in front of the porch offers a calming atmosphere. Close to mountains, trails, and more. Thanks to owners' very reasonable pricing policy, a little saving was enough to finance this great three day escape from the heat and humidity of the East Coast. I strongly recommend this place to nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts, and people who are looking for a hidden gem type resort. Thank you Brad, Thank you Jackie!

Sad to go home.

  • 5 of 5

I've been to cabins before on vacation, and I always wondered how it was going to be. Every cabin I have rented before turned out to be a disaster, so I was worried that I would get the same. OMG!!!!! This place was beautiful. Anything we thought of doing, it was there, plus more.

First off, when we pulled up, we started counting the deer on and around the property. Then that first night, sitting around the campfire by the creek, we tried to count all the fireflies that were flying around the edge of the woods but there was far too many. It brought back boyhood memories when I use to chase the fireflies around our house.

Thanks for the wonderful time. I have already reserved the cabin in October. Maybe the apples in the trees will be ripe.

Perfectly peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this cabin and its quiet, pretty surroundings even more than we expected from seeing the photos! This is a great location for those wanting to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail, or hike Grayson Highlands, or see the vistas from White Top Mountain. The property is clean and very well maintained, and the hosts are very courteous but they give you complete space and privacy. I'm a budget-conscious traveler and I was happy to find this cabin to be a good value for the price. Having Wifi, HGTV and other television, and firewood provided for the backyard fire circle was especially enjoyed. One word to the wise, if your GPS tells you to take "Old Apple Road" coming from the south to get here, don't do it! It's not a passable road, just take Muddy Creek Road instead. I definitely look forward to returning again!

A.T. trail and many other trail heads in the area to hike. Some of the best hunting you can ever find.
