Luxurious and modern, 3-level 1400 ft² townhouse designed by local architect-owner. Easy walk, run or ride to Ottawa's downtown and all the festival venues. After a good snowfall, guests may strap on their cross-country skis and head up to Gatineau Park to enjoy the vast network of groomed trails. Running during the non-snow season is a pleasure; I have personal 5k, 10.8k, 11.5k and 15.2 looped runs to share for runners of all abilities.

Radiant floor heating throughout, abundant natural lighting, cross-ventilation, natural materials, composting on-site. Air conditioning provided on all three levels. Bright open floor plan with plenty of operable windows. Floors with maple hardwood and ceramic tiles.

Fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils, dinnerware and cleaning supplies. If you like to cook please indicate any specialty cookware you may need as I may have items helpful to your culinary vision. Fresh herbs throughout the garden. Couch and chairs on the main floor can be converted into beds, sleeping 4 extra persons. Flatscreen television and free internet access provided.

Entrance on main floor with powder room, living/dining/kitchen area, with access to back deck and gas BBQ. On the top floor large master bedroom with king bed and chairbed, walk-in-closet and a large 5-piece bathroom. At the lower level, room with a king bed/2 twin beds and 1 chairbed. The lower floor also has a smaller 3-piece bathroom with large walk-in shower and integrated washer and condensing dryer. An ironing board and iron are also available.

The interior is smoke-free and fresh linens are supplied once per stay. Bookshelves are stocked with French and English novels, cookbooks and magazines.

On-site parking is limited to 2 cars in the carport. Free street parking is available except for overnight parking during the winter due to snow removal.

Perfect location, clean, well-equipped!

Four adults from the US, we stayed for a week to bike the trails around Ottawa. Arriving late after 2 days of driving, we were happy to see we had a place to secure our bikes, a driveway for our car, and a refrigerator stocked with enough items to get us through breakfast--all organic!

The place was sparkling clean, cheerfully decorated, and well-equipped. The owner Isabelle was there to greet us and readily available.

We parked our car and rode our bikes everywhere. A grocery store and several excellent restaurants are just a few steps away.

If you're vacationing or visiting on business, you'll be glad to stay here.

We stayed here with 7 people comfortably . The location is fantastic and it really is a nice oasis !

Isabelle was great to deal with and even left some great starter supplies in the fridge for when we arrived ! Was totally great and will definitely come and stay again! Thanks Isabelle - we will bring our bikes next time !

Comfortable, cosy, very clean and quiet.

This was a great place to stay with our family, thoughtfully decorated and well equipped with the comforts of home. We loved the contemporary styling and everything was very clean and well maintained. We also found it very helpful that there were enough condiments and kitchen tools to cook with. There was some heavy snowfall and unusually cold weather during our visit - Isabelle was really helpful in making sure we were taken care of. The neighborhood is quiet but convenient, not far from town. The the local convenience store, only a few minutes walk away, has a surprisingly good selection of food and beverage.

A fantastic place to relax

Out of the many houses we have rented and the hotels we've experienced, this is the most comfortable and functional we've ever been in. Isabelle, being the great architect that she is, has designed the perfect vacation place. Every time we turned around looking for something, it was THERE! The kitchen, the bedrooms, the showers, and all the amenities we needed were simply at the right place providing the perfect functionality.

I cannot say enough about how a great host Isabelle was/is. I received an SMS welcoming us into Canada and providing us with a direct access to her phone number. She was there to greet us and to show us the place. She then retreated away and gave us the space and privacy we needed as a family. She would come in immediately when we need anything and was there to answer all of our questions. Professional, yet personable was a balance she struck perfectly. Her email communication earlier were clear and precise providing comfort and assurance to the worrying travelers type that we are. Her financial calculations and the deals she offers for early booking were very fair and were much appreciated; a truly trust-worthy professional.

We loved our stay there and have fond memories that we will always cherish. The place and Isabelle will always be a great part of those memories. Whenever we come back, we will book with her...

Incredible Stay!

This property is ideally located next to open green space, a playground and a bike or running path. It was an ideal location for our family, which includes four young children. We enjoyed excellent bike rides around central Ottawa, and were able to keep our car parked for the entire four-day stay.

The house is beautifully laid out and furnished. At the end of our stay, we commented that we have stayed many places globally and are hard pressed to remember a better vacation! Would highly recommend.

The location is ideal for cycling, running, roller blade and cross-country skiing either as a leisure activity or as a healthy commute to museums, art galleries or music festivals (I have personally checked in my skis at the National Gallery one lovely winter evening).

The rental property is located along a popular bicycle path that winds along along the Ottawa River to the Deschênes Rapids, Aylmer Marina, Westboro Beach, the Canadian Museum of War, Parliament Hill, the Rideau locks and canal, the Byward Market, the National Art Gallery and The Canadian Museum of Civilization.

For a more challenging and even more rewarding ride or ski, one can venture up Gatineau Park (entrance is across the street from the neighborhood) to the McKenzie King Estate and to the Champlain Lookout for a truly spectacular view. In winter, woodstove-heated cabins in the Park are open to skiers or snow shoers for bring-your-own fondue or other meal during the day and night. The extensive network of groomed trails is one of the best-kept secrets of the National Capital Region.

The rental property is close to the shoreline, where hare, herons, hawks and deer can be seen upon occasion. Beavers are found swimming in the pond along the bike path to the west.

A wonderful grocery store is a short walk within the neighborhood with its own butcher, baker, produce section, wine and beer, post office counter, dry cleaning pick-up and all- round great service. Big name supermarkets, specialty markets, big box stores and other stores are a short drive away.

Other services in the neighbourhood include Edgar, an Urban Spoon-rated restaurant; a coffee shop an ice-cream bar and a Vietnamese restaurant; beauty salons; tailor/clothes alterations; sports equipment, a dentist, massage therapists, a gas station, automobile repair shops and a bicycle repair shop.
