Overlooking a privately managed beach sits an oceanfront beach cottage home in a quiet, fenced in, tucked away place on a hill in Manomet Bluffs. Our east facing home with its 37 windows allows our guests to take in the stunning sweeping ocean views of Cape Code bay. My home is great year round with extra amenities for a winter retreat. Summer guests will love the air conditioning - rare in summer rentals in the area.
Our oceanfront home has plenty of room for a family of up to 8 guests. One of the very few homes in the area that has air conditioning. Come on in through one of two front entrances and although the views are captivating we will head upstairs to more glorious views. The top floor consists of 3 bedrooms for 6 guests and 1 full bath. The first thing you see is the view to the ocean through the bathroom’s boxed picture window. To the left is the master bedroom and on the right are the other two bedrooms. The bathroom has a large deep tub/shower combo, toilet, and a charming shell shaped sink. Soak in the deep tub and watch the world go by while viewing through the large picture window overlooking the ocean. The front to back corner king size master bedroom contains a sitting room with a couch and has 10 windows with fabulous panoramic views. Lift your head at dawn from your comfy bed and watch a glorious sunrise over the water. The queen bedroom has a peek at the ocean and the twin (with a trundle) bedroom has full water views. Towels and bed linens are provided.
Come downstairs to the main level and head left to the "L" shaped family room, which wraps around to the backside of the house, the bluff side with more panoramic ocean views. Take a seat on the large sectional facing the bluff and relax over a book or watch a movie while taking in the ocean views outside. Maybe you will spot a seal swimming by. The sectional has a pull out bed for two. Head back through the round archway and walk into an inviting room with two couches and formal dining area. This open floor plan includes a see thru fireplace (although not in use during spring and summer months) into the eat-in kitchen with a barn door table. Meal time prep and cleanup is a breeze in the kitchen with an induction stove top, granite counters, and a quiet dishwasher. The full bathroom off the kitchen contains a toilet, sink, and shower.
Step outside and head to the back yard. The last room in the house is the basement accessible by it’s own entrance where you will find the laundry room with the half bath and a huge soapstone double sink to rinse off sand after a fun beach day. Head back outside and continue to walk down the few steps to the bluff edge patio and enjoy the ocean air and beach activity around 50 feet below. Dine alfresco, sip a drink, or enjoy a game of Bocce ball on the lawn. The patio table and chairs seat six with plenty of extra chairs in the basement for use. The shed has power and a refrigerator for your convenience. Please be aware that the backyard stairs to the beach are not available for use. Beach access is within a one to two minute walk from the home.
Your family can enjoy the long stretch of beach, take a swim, visit Plimoth Plantation, or head into historical Plymouth center. At night go for a walk on the beach, watch the boats cruising in the bay all lit up, or enjoy one of the many close by restaurants.Local amenities such as grocery and package stores along with a wide variety of restaurants are very close by within a mile. Plymouth center offers a lot of history, boat excursions, and more entertainment including a wide variety of restaurant options.
Winter guests have access to a snow blower and easy to use portable generator in case of an infrequent power outage.
Check in and out is on Saturday.
