Why Brenda Kiesel chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

LOCATION!, LOCATION!, LOCATION!, and most of all, LOCATION!.

Huge lot (1/2 acre) and 2 bathrooms. Most homes up here have 2-3 bedrooms and only 1 bath. This has a large bedroom upstairs and 2 bathrooms to shower and bath in. Meanwhile we are 2 houses in from the main road and walk to the beach, bike path, Popular Sunnyside resort, and Fire Sign restaurant. Walk to rent a kayak, jet ski or boat. We park the car Friday and leave til Sunday. Not a mansion but a cozy Tahoe cabin built the way they were meant to be.

What makes this cabin unique

This House was the FIRST Bert Anderson and is THE 'Classic Tahoe' cabin, with all the modern updates you need but not losing the feel and charm of the day it was built in 1951. Heated bathroom floor, Bathroom and shower upstairs with new bath and bathroom downstaris, tankless water heater for endless heated water. Large back deck of privacy with massive pine trees. It is set back from the road unlike most. loads of room to park cars and boat trailer and more

Guestbook comments from the owner

The Tamarack cabin was great! Such a cozy and charming house in a very convenient location. I'd totally stay there again!

This was hands down one of the best rentals away from home I have ever experienced. true hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

The property was magical. The interior was beautifully curated to fit the vibe of the hidden woods retreat as advertised. It was clean and incredibly cozy, surrounded by trees and off the main road, it offered perfect seclusion and yet easy and quick access to some of the best skiing in Tahoe. A true hidden gem, and a place I can't wait to return to again and again. Loved it so much, I'd never tell my friends where it was or how to find it as I want to keep it for myself! That's how amazing it was!

great location and classic Tahoe cabin

  • 5 of 5

Excellent visit in this classic, vintage Tahoe cabin. We loved it and will return. We didn't notice on the ad, and were very pleased to see a bathtub in the new bathroom for soaks after a ski day. Kitchen and other bathroom are upgraded and very nice. Old stone fireplace is great to use, wood floors and area rugs ad to the charm yet a heated tile floor in the big bathroom. Great location in Sunnyside,, quiet, private, clean, well maintained.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

It was the second time my husband and I stayed at this wonderful place and it was just as perfect as last time. So cosy and beautifully located with the lake just across the road. The cottage is clean and spotless with nice decor and all the facilities that you need. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub - and the BBQ was in frequent use. Even though the April weather was a little cool, we still enjoyed having breakfast and lunch out on the deck.

Brenda responds promptly to all queries and provides all necessary information. This is one of the best VRBO rentals that we have stayed at :-)

Thank you so much for yet another great stay in Tahoe, - we will be back!

Great little cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My significant other and I stayed here during a short ski trip to Tahoe, and we couldn't have asked for a better place! The cabin was exactly as described-- it was cute, cozy, clean, and romantic. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was a HUGE plus, as well as the heated floor in the downstairs bathroom (which seemed to be newly updated). The upstairs area was very cozy with the low ceilings/rafters, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Unlike some other reviewers, we did not have any problems with the spiral stairs, and in fact thought they were pretty cool. The location was perfect-- very private, but right between multiple ski resorts (only a 15 minute drive to Squaw) and close to Tahoe city where there are restaurants/shops. It was also right near the lake, which was very nice. The owner was friendly and communicative; everything was very straight-forward. We would love to come back for another stay. I would definitely recommend this property!

Cozy, Clean, Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I stayed for a couple of nights at the end of December and had an absolutely incredible time! The cabin was easy to find and in a great location close to the downtown area. The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed! The heated floor in the downstairs bathroom was an unexpected plus. Bed upstairs was huge and very comfortable. The back patio was great, even while covered in snow. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to return soon. Thank you SO much for making our first trip to Tahoe a great one!
