Why Brenda Kiesel chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

LOCATION!, LOCATION!, LOCATION!, and most of all, LOCATION!.

Huge lot (1/2 acre) and 2 bathrooms. Most homes up here have 2-3 bedrooms and only 1 bath. This has a large bedroom upstairs and 2 bathrooms to shower and bath in. Meanwhile we are 2 houses in from the main road and walk to the beach, bike path, Popular Sunnyside resort, and Fire Sign restaurant. Walk to rent a kayak, jet ski or boat. We park the car Friday and leave til Sunday. Not a mansion but a cozy Tahoe cabin built the way they were meant to be.

What makes this cabin unique

This House was the FIRST Bert Anderson and is THE 'Classic Tahoe' cabin, with all the modern updates you need but not losing the feel and charm of the day it was built in 1951. Heated bathroom floor, Bathroom and shower upstairs with new bath and bathroom downstaris, tankless water heater for endless heated water. Large back deck of privacy with massive pine trees. It is set back from the road unlike most. loads of room to park cars and boat trailer and more

Guestbook comments from the owner

The Tamarack cabin was great! Such a cozy and charming house in a very convenient location. I'd totally stay there again!

Cute and rustic

  • 4 of 5

This was a perfect size for my husband and myself. It's cute, rustic and a little quirky. Absolutely loved the California king bed. It was very, very comfortable. The spiral staircase takes a little getting use to, especially when you are taking suitcases up and down. We didn't use the hot tub, but it looked large. Loved the wood walls. The only really negative thing I would say was that when we first walked in, it smelled like yesterday's campfire. Very off putting. We put the ash can, which was 3/4 full, outside, along with the rug in front of the fireplace. I don't know if that was because the fireplace had been recently used, or that the house had been closed up for a while. We did have mid 80 degree weather while we were visiting. There aren't many windows to open to get rid of the odor. It took a couple days for the odor to dissapate. Other than that, we liked the place.

My girlfriend and I loved this spot. The hot tub and fireplace were great. The cabin was rustic and charming while the bathroom was modern which we appreciated. Would stay again!

Great rustic cabin with amenities.

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed here while visiting friends and exploring the West Shore. If you enjoy a rustic mountain theme this is a great cabin. The location is great, the bed is comfortable, and the back deck is very relaxing. The kitchen is a little low on cooking supplies so if you plan on doing a faire amount of cooking make sure to bring your own stuff. It it has plenty of stuff for simple cooking. We hope to be able to rent this place again soon!

Cabin Life

  • 4 of 5

Sweet little cabin, great location. Perfect for what we were looking for, a comfortable, get-away. Nice and clean. The hot tub was great since it still was quite chilly. Bare bones as to kitchen ware and any 'extras', could of used some baking pans to warm things up. Fireplace was nice but hard to keep a fire going
