About Lenna

We have travelled around the world. We believe the Big Island is truly 'heaven on earth'

Lenna purchased this house in 2011

Why Lenna chose Keaau

We were vacationing in this area and after a mere three days, we decided we wanted to own. We chose this spectacular home, as it was newly constructed, in a rural setting, on a one acre lot, and beautifully landscaped.

What makes this house unique

Away from the hustle and bustle ... But close enough to amenities

Guestbook comments from the owner

You have a beautiful holiday home and it was perfect for us the kids especially loved the pool. I was in admiration of the gardens. They are absolutely beautiful.

We especially loved the Kapoho tide pools and hot spring. Hilo is a wonderful place to discover the island and we hope to return again within the next few years .

Thanks once again for making everything so easy. If only all travel was that organised.

Perfect for our family!!

  • 5 of 5

We were so at home here. The house was clean and had all the room, amenities, and supplies we needed and then some. Everything was in perfect working order and easy to use. Our kids ages 10, 9,6 and 4 had a blast swimming in the pool and exploring the yard. Mom and Dad enjoyed the pool too! We were even able to harvest some of the pineapples growing in the yard, very tasty. We had no issues and the property manager was very easy to reach by text. There were even supplies like sunburn lotion that it was very nice not to have to run out and buy. I recommend taking a look in the cupboards, refrigerators, bathrooms, closets, etc. before you buy anything because the place is so well stocked. The kitchen is fully equipped as well. There were only two things, very minor, that we could have used. One was serving spoons and the other was some simple plastic cups and dishes for the little ones. I say this only because we didn't want them to break the good ceramic and glass if they were to drop it. The location was great for venturing out and exploring all the sites and groceries, pharmacy, etc. were only 10min away. The property was private and the neighborhood was very nice. We wanted for nothing, and the layout of the house makes it easy to play and relax. We had such a wonderful time here and will definitely stay again if we have the opportunity! 10 stars!!

The house is in good shape, clean and well equipped, and is even nicer than the photos suggest. The gardens and pool were well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet this property offered.

one of the best home away places I ve been too, well furnished, very clean, excellent location!

The Big Island is all about enjoying nature..this home best reflects the beauty of the island. It is conveniently located close to the city of Hilo, and is very private. The home is very clean and well furnished. The pool provides another way to relax without having to leave the premises. The garden is full of beautiful flowers that remind you of the beauty of Hawaii every time you step out. We will definitely return to this place. Dealing with Lenna and Juanita has been very easy as they both are easy to reach and address your concerns immediately .. No negative comments all praises from us.. except a small suggestion .. maybe a hammock somewhere ? :)

Property is amazing! Fruit trees blooming in one area, others producing fruit-- papaya, pineapples, bananas, avocados, oranges at different times. Orchids in all the trees, each blooming at their particular time. Walking among all the beautiful plants& trees in the garden is truly walking in paradise. Pool to cool off in on hot days. Coqui frogs sing you to sleep while the roosters crow in the distance..A wonderful place for a vacation, close to all attractions.

Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Lenna & Michel's house. It was *very* well equipped, and even had water shoes - which came in handy when we went to the Kapoho tidepools.

Unfortunately the weather was quite cold, so we didn't use the pool much (which was very cold because of the weather). And because of the rain the solar water heater also didn't provide much hot water...totally because of us -- we discovered on our last day that we could change the hot water heater setting so it was not 100% solar.

We enjoyed staying here! Lenna was *terrific* at getting back to us, and the very few things that needed to be done were completed *very* quickly. I'd definitely recommend this home!

Owner's Response: Crazy weather! How dare it *rain* so much for you!! Usually we say "wait ten minutes, or drive 10 miles" and you will have sun again... But, apparently, not lately!
