About Tripp Sims

We live in Atlanta. Although I live a mere 86 miles from the property, Once I place my feet on the ground at Reynolds Landing, I feel I am a world away from the stress and the busyness of life. As you can see from the photo, my dog, Deacon, has found a lil' slice of Heaven right hear on earth swimming and playing in the cove and chasing wildlife from dusk to dawn next door in the open field.

Tripp Sims purchased this house in 2007

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful lake house. The weather was perfect. We had no idea what to expect when we bid on this at the silent auction. That is very kind of you to welcome others in your lake house. We had plenty of room for all of us. We all wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the nearby marina they were very nice we highly recommend using them. We rented a ski boat on two of three days. We also had quite a few who liked to fish and everyone had good luck catching all kinds of fish.We brought our canoe and we used your kayak to look around the lake. We could not have asked for a better getaway. We hope that you continue to rent, you were very easy to work with and had great customer service.

Notes:
My house in The Landing at Reynolds Plantation is very close to many wonderful restaurants, an 8 screen movie theater and upscale shopping. There is championship golf available not only in Reynolds Landing but also Reynolds Plantation. Lake Oconee, the 2nd largest lake in Georgia, is packed with world class golf and a slew of water activities including swimming, skiing, tubing and fishing. I have caught untold number of fish from my Dock and you will often see Bass Fishermen lingering in the cove looking for the big catch. The local marina rents boats and jet skis which can certainly be parked at my private dock for your stay. A short drive, one can visit the beautiful antebellum towns of Madison, Greensboro and Eatonton to sightsee and antique shop.

We just got home from a week at this wonderful house on Lake Oconee. We had 6 adults and 2 teenagers in our family. There was plenty of room and something to do for everyone. The dual kayak and 2 paddle boards were a big hit with the kids and young adults. The lake views from the shady deck and sunny dock were beautiful. The house was furnished with interesting and unusual decor throughout. The owner was very accommodating and pleasant. We look forward to returning and would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Overpriced, dirty, outdoor furniture needs to be cleaned.

  • 2 of 5

We would not rent this home again. We felt it was overpriced for what we got. The house needs some serious updating...the outdoor furniture was dirty, the windows were dirty...over all it needed a deep cleaning. There was live electrical wire on the dock.

Everything was super cheap and dirty.

Owner's Response: I now understand if one rents a lake house long enough one will come across "Guests" like the one I had during this stay. To begin things off, when I touched base with my "Guests" on the second day of their stay, they articulated everything was great and they were having a wonderful time. After check out, I discovered items missing in the house along with the fact, my guests, left the grill propane tank on in the enclosed garage which created a very dire and dangerous situation for my Cleaning Crew which sent one individual home with Nauseousness. They also left the refrigerator open which caused a huge defrosting effort and a technician to come out and check on the appliance. I also discovered my deck ladder had been ripped from it's foundation. Please take this review into minor consideration and read all my other reviews which happen to be 5 star reviews who articulated how clean and unique my house is.

We had a great time at Reynolds Plantation with our family. The house was clean, spacious and fully stocked with paper products. Tripp was fantastic to work with and gave us many great recommendations for restaurants. Thanks for everything!

Great Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

This is a home you should seriously consider for your stay at Reynolds Lake Oconee. It's on a quiet lake cove. (nice views of the lake) The home is furnished nicely and comfortably. There is a big deck facing the lake for relaxing. Also a nice fire pit below in the yard if you like that. Great place for families too. Bring fishing poles for fishing off the dock or shore. Saw lots of fish hitting the water so you'll probably catch some. There is a game room with Ping-pong upstairs. I was there with a 3 other men for Masters week - golf and we each slept comfortably in our own room & bed. We played Oconee and National which are 2 great courses. The house is located in a very convenient location to golf, dining, etc. The house has a nice large HDTV and the Wifi was speedy. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen is fully stocked for doing so. There is a Kurig* coffee maker so bring your own pods. The owner was very honest and pleasant to work with as he wants you have a good time by making sure everything is in order for your stay. I highly recommend this house for you and your family. You will not be disappointed.

Thanksgiving Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. It was close for our daughter that couldn't come home for Thanksgiving because of college. The house was warm and family friendly. Made cooking easy and we loved the art around the house. Every day we found something we hadn't seen before. Looking forward to next time when we can play golf and enjoy the lake. Great fire pit for samores with the kids!
