About Tripp Sims

We live in Atlanta. Although I live a mere 86 miles from the property, Once I place my feet on the ground at Reynolds Landing, I feel I am a world away from the stress and the busyness of life. As you can see from the photo, my dog, Deacon, has found a lil' slice of Heaven right hear on earth swimming and playing in the cove and chasing wildlife from dusk to dawn next door in the open field.

Tripp Sims purchased this house in 2007

What makes this house unique

It truly has a special place in my heart and I am honored to be able to share this wonderful home with folks that appreciate the healing aspects of nature. Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful lake house. The weather was perfect. We had no idea what to expect when we bid on this at the silent auction. That is very kind of you to welcome others in your lake house. We had plenty of room for all of us. We all wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the nearby marina they were very nice we highly recommend using them. We rented a ski boat on two of three days. We also had quite a few who liked to fish and everyone had good luck catching all kinds of fish.We brought our canoe and we used your kayak to look around the lake. We could not have asked for a better getaway. We hope that you continue to rent, you were very easy to work with and had great customer service.

Notes:
My house in The Landing at Reynolds Plantation is very close to many wonderful restaurants, an 8 screen movie theater and upscale shopping. There is championship golf available not only in Reynolds Landing but also Reynolds Plantation. Lake Oconee, the 2nd largest lake in Georgia, is packed with world class golf and a slew of water activities including swimming, skiing, tubing and fishing. I have caught untold number of fish from my Dock and you will often see Bass Fishermen lingering in the cove looking for the big catch. The local marina rents boats and jet skis which can certainly be parked at my private dock for your stay. A short drive, one can visit the beautiful antebellum towns of Madison, Greensboro and Eatonton to sightsee and antique shop.

You'll Love Staying Here!

  • 5 of 5

Great location on a cove with easy access to the main lake. The kitchen was better equipped than most rentals we've had, a full assortment of everything needed for cooking. Having the kayak and paddle boards was a great addition, we used them each day! Very close to the marina for boat and jet ski rentals, a great bonus. The large deck was perfect for relaxing, playing games, but we spent a lot of time at the dock enjoying the water. We had 7 people age 23-84 and everyone felt comfortable and had enough space. Easy to communicate with the owner by phone/text and would definitely return!

Did not feel like a rental, but rather like we were guests in someone's home.

Nothing but 5 stars across the board. Most notable:

-Very clean. Absolutely NO funky, musky smells. All furniture, upholstery, and other furnishings are in excellent condition. Pristine bathrooms, showers, and kitchen. Mostly hardwood floors, all carpet was clean. 2 bedrooms up and 2 down.

-All four beds were very comfortable and well-dressed. Extra blankets. Lots of pillows. Books in every room. Lamp light everywhere.

-Artwork is quirky, fun and original.

-We cooked for a crowd every meal and we had everything we needed--MOST UNUSUAL were the multiple sharp knives including chef's knife, and small and large serrated knives. Lots of acrylic glasses, serving trays, baking sheets, pots and pans, bowls, and bar tools. Ample paper towels, toilet paper and other paper goods were stocked in the laundry room. There is an extra fridge/freezer in the the garage.

-Each bathroom was stocked with TONS of towels.

-The living areas were very comfortable with plenty of seating and lots of great coffee table books that we enjoyed.

-Competition ping-pong table was a huge hit!

-The paddle boards and tandem kayak were super nice.

-Deck overlooking the cove with a view of the lake is furnished with gorgeous rocking chairs and other outdoor furniture. There is a very large resident hawk who kept us entertained.

-The dock is big and we had plenty of room for our 24 ft. boat, the tandem kayak, another 9 ft. kayak and a total of 5 stand-up paddle boards. The cove is beautiful and was about 8 ft. deep while were there--great for swimming, floating, practicing paddle strokes and TRYING to stand up on the paddle boards.

-Our beagle "escaped" while were there and the neighbors came out in force to help find her. That really touched us.

-Be sure to take a sunset cruise.

-We highly recommend this home and appreciate all the assistance the owner, Tripp gave us leading up to and during our stay. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Time!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our 3 nights at this lake house. The property was beautiful, immaculately maintained and Tripp was a delight to work with. Very informative and responsive. The location is perfect, and the little perks (SUPs, kayak, large dock) really make this a wonderful rental.

This was the best rental property we have been to on Lake Oconee and we have been to a lot. The house is very warm and well suited for family gatherings. We had adults and children and everyone had a great time. The outside area was outstanding with fishing and swimming right from the dock. Tripp was very accommodating and stayed in touch with us whenever we needed information. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice getaway for family or friends. We will definitely go back.

A Little Slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to host a family reunion. We did just that, and it was everything we wanted. Tripp's home is so warm and cozy. Makes you want to just curl up and enjoy every minute, whether inside taking in the view, or on the deck enjoying the beautiful Lake Oconee. The kayak and paddle boards were a challenge and such fun, and enjoyed by all. There are many great restaurants near by and a Publix grocery store 5 minutes away. The owner, Tripp goes out of his way to make sure your trip is enjoyable and will help to accommodate his guests in anyway he can. Hope to return again soon.

We just got home from a week at this wonderful house on Lake Oconee. We had 6 adults and 2 teenagers in our family. There was plenty of room and something to do for everyone. The dual kayak and 2 paddle boards were a big hit with the kids and young adults. The lake views from the shady deck and sunny dock were beautiful. The house was furnished with interesting and unusual decor throughout. The owner was very accommodating and pleasant. We look forward to returning and would not hesitate to recommend this property.
