Rustic, calm and beautiful
The cabin was a little rustic but with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
This was the nicest cabin. It was very clean and had everything in it we needed. I would recommend it to everyone. It truly gave us the alaska experience we were looking g for.
Great memories made
Nice cabin with everything you need. The kids loved going down by the water and throwing rocks. There were so many unique things that reminded me of my grandparents cabin back in the lower 48. A moose walked right by the cabin so close we could have touched it. As a fellow Alaskan we will be coming back!
Relaxing stay on the Kenai River
A very nice home. Loved the dining table. Stairs are broken down to the river to fish, but you can take the walk down the paved road leading to the dock. We thought we could walk into the water with waders to fish, but the water was too deep, so we fished from the dock, which was fine. No privacy in the home as the walls of the bedrooms, living room and kitchen do not reach the top of the ceiling. Very quiet area and very relaxing. We saw the Northern Lights while there. Would stay again.
Comfortable, although kitchen could be supplied better and bedrooms are not closed off.
Major ups: Fishing docks. Clean. Comfortable. Mostly as described.
Major Downs: Wet towels. Garbage cans full. Stairs to docks were broken. Bedrooms did not have walls that went to the ceilings (no real privacy). Kitchen wasn't as stocked as we had hoped (pots/pans and glass wear) but it did work.
Overall: Would stay again, not with another couple, but with the kiddos would be great. If you are fishing, bring a lot of gear, there are a TON of snags.
The property worked well and the communication with the management group was superb. The fishing docks were great, but the access was not. The staircase to the river was not in use, and needed immediate attention. The stairs were old, and have been out of use for some time - not a big issue, but it did make access to the fishing location somewhat of an inconvenience.
The cabin was very well stocked with seasonings and condiments, this was a bonus but it would have been nice to have know there were eight sets of salt and pepper, Tabasco, etc.
