Beach resident who loves the mountains, too!

Size. Open floor plan. View of mountains. Proximity to amenities, shopping, waterfalls. Quite and peaceful.
Great family gathering place. Main floor living room, with its wide vista of the mountains, offers plenty of visiting space which flows into kitchen and dining room. Lower floor provides entertainment areas for TV, games, cards, visiting, etc. Layout is perfect for 2 - 3 families to be together or for a couple to enjoy by themselves. To have coffee in the morning or glass of wine at dusk on the large deck looking straight into the beautiful mountains in an unbeatable experience!
This house was great for families. It has two spacious sitting areas and a large dining table. The view was priceless. It located close to Cashiers but away from the flow of traffic. We also enjoyed the privacy of each room having a bathroom. Thank you for a great stay.
This house worked very well for our family of 4 adults and 3 children. Each bedroom has a bathroom, plus there is a half-bath right off the open den/kitchen area. There are also pull out couches in the downstairs den, but we didn't need them. The dining table can accommodate a large group, which was nice since at most rental places, we have to split our group up. The kitchen is fully stocked and has plenty of counter space for cooking. There is a large-screen TV in the downstairs den, which is also a great getaway space for kids to play without disturbing the rest of the house. The view from the main level and deck is spectacular and the house is quite private. The location is wonderful. We are not golfers, but had a great time mountain biking, shopping in the towns of Cashiers and Highlands, and taking in some quick hikes. Cashiers has a wonderful playground that even appealed to our 9 and 11 year-olds! I highly recommend this fabulous mountain getaway!
My family recently used this beautifully maintained house for a family reunion. The layout was perfect for our needs--the large open concept main floor living area made for easy visiting during meal prep, and the dining table seated our group of eight easily. The lower level living area allowed for use of a DVD and big screen TV while others visited on the main level without that distraction. The photos accurately depict the rooms, but don't tell you how comfy the beds are or show you the beautiful views from those bedrooms! The loft area bedroom has heavy drapes to close for complete privacy. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and all of the bathrooms are good sized with nice walk in showers, but no tubs. The lower level bedroom does not have a closet, but there is ample storage with a dresser, armoire and a rack with hooks for hanging items. The bathroom for this bedroom is adjacent to the bedroom. There are two pull-out couches for additional sleeping and a large closet on this level. The owners have left a notebook full of information about nearby amenities and recommendations for restaurants plus a separate sheet with specific contact information for the management company and other helpful information (wi fi access code, grocery store location, etc.) The landline telephone availability helps since cell access works best outdoors. We made use of the pools at the resort (toddler to adult plus an indoor pool with a jacuzzi--towels available onsite). Our little folks loved hiking to some nearby waterfalls, a gem mining expedition, a half-day rafting trip and the playground in Cashiers while some of us shopped. We all loved exploring some of the small towns in the area. The county is dry, but a large nearby grocery store includes wine and deli items. We didn't eat out much--the kitchen is well equipped. Golfers will love the quick access to beautiful courses. There are other more difficult hikes and rafting opportunities nearby for a more adventurous group than we were. Go online for Lake Glenville, Highlands or Cashiers for more things to do. A car is necessary as little is within walking distance. There is ample parking for couple of cars plus the garage. The house itself can be a bit tricky to locate (GPS doesn't tell you how far it is after you turn onto address road), but once you are there, the house and the views --especially with that first cup of coffee in the morning-- were exactly what we hoped they would be
