Andrew and Courtney are native Houstonians and high school sweethearts who live in the Sugar Land area with their three children.
Andrew & Courtney Spiwak purchased this house in 2012
Andrew & Courtney are natives of the Houston area and both love to visit Canyon Lake. They wanted to share their childhood memories of water skiing, boating and swimming in the lake, hiking and visiting surrounding attractions with their children and with others. This property has fantastic views of the lake and sunsets and is close to the attractions.
This house is set on 3 secluded acres. Minutes from civilization but you feel like you are in your own world surrounded by nature and a cove. A nest of bald eagles can be seen from the porch. Refer to vrbo #414526 to rent both houses on the property.
Beautiful and private! Great place to get away. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us.
We had a lovely weekend at your beautiful property. The lake level was up, so catch-and-release fishing from the shore and at the little pond was a lot of fun. Bird watching was excellent from the wrap-around porch. We saw an indigo bunting and a scarlet tanager and many other species. We even caught a glimpse of a bald eagle from the shore.
The Spiwak's have done a wonderful job maintaining the property. The directions were easy to follow and took us right to the house without missing a turn. We appreciated the welcome basket that included a note, a bottle of local wine and bag of snacks.
We definitely recommend this property and would love to return. Thank you for making us feel so welcome in your home!
We absolutely love this property. Privacy, plenty of room to roam, relaxing and exactly what we were looking for. During our stay the bald eagle was "in town" in its giant nest with its babies and we spent a lot of time watching its majesty!!
Enjoyed the views and breeze relaxing in the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch. This is just what the doctor ordered. The cabin was well stocked with the things you would expect and all we did was buy groceries. Saw deer every day. Great hiking, put our kayaks in the cove. Thank you so much, we had a great time.
This was our second visit to this property and we enjoyed it again! This is one of the few properties where you can bring your pet - always a plus! The large acreage allowed our dogs to run free and jump in the lake. The kids had a blast exploring and fishing and just hanging out. The cabin is spacious enough for 2 families. All 4 kids slept upstairs in the loft and when tired of the outdoors, were able to retreat inside wand watch tv or movies.
You will encounter deer and we even saw a bald eagle on the property! Sitting by the campfire every evening was a great way to end each day. We will be back!
I would imagine during the summer, it would be even more fun since you could swim in the lake and boat around. We have rented at least 10 places around Canyon Lake, and this is one of our favorites- due to easy access to the lake and the size of the property (very private). We will be back!
We had a great time fishing, swimming, and trail walking. The kids had a blast and were entertained so they did not bother the adults and let us enjoy drinking and play dominos!!!!!!!!!
