3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 1 half, sleep sofa, 2 twin inflatibles can sleep 10
Located on one of the highest ridges overlooking Lexington, the house sits alone on 10 acres, only one mile from Main Street. There are neighbors - in the distance.
By day enjoy the fabulous views of the surrounding mountains, with the lights of town twinkling in the distance each evening. Relax on the screen porch, which seems suspended over the tree tops.
There are 3 bedrooms: the master on the main floor with it's own large private bath, and two queen bedrooms on the lower level sharing a separate private bath. There is a sleep sofa in the study with a powder room conveniently nearby.
It's a great house for entertaining with the living room, dining room, and large covered deck all adjacent to the kitchen. On the deck is a gas grill (with full gas tanks) and several tables and chairs, from which to enjoy the view.
The house is on Old Farm Road, which is also a favorite walking and jogging route for many locals. Feel like you are away from it all, with neighbor's chickens clucking in the distance. Yet, in moments, be downtown shopping, touring, going to VMI, W&L or the Virginia Horse Center.

Gorgeous Views! Very clean!
This was a wonderful weekend with friends. There were only 4 of us- 2 couples- so the house was plenty big. There are 360 degree views of the mountains and downtown Lexington. Breathtaking! The house is only a quick drive from town so the location was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Would definitely rent this again!
Outstanding Home in Lexington, VA
Stayed on Old Farm Road this past week and had a wonderful time. The owners have thought of everything! Nicely decorated with a beautiful view, the property is a short few minutes to the downtown of Lexington so you get the best of both worlds. The hilltop setting affords complete privacy and dramatic sunrises. Plenty of room for a large family, yet cozy enough for a couple to enjoy. Generous and well-stocked kitchen and super clean! I would recommend and return to this charming home. Thanks to the hosts for outstanding hospitality!
Great stay! Home away from home
This home sits atop a hill with a dramatic view of the Valley. We spent time on the large deck just gazing at the view. It's very convenient to town, but within minutes feels like you've escaped to your own mountain retreat. Very clean and nicely decorated. We'll stay again!
Comfortable refuge in gorgeous natural setting
This house is the perfect gathering spot for family or several couples. Although just a hop from downtown Lexington, views from the spacious deck and screened in porch are of the surrounding Shenandoah hills, fields and forests. Breathtaking rain or shine! The house is well appointed and attractive and had everything we needed. The owner's relatives came immediately with ice when we called about a fridge issue. They arranged a repair immediately. Can't say enough about this rental!
A beautiful house and a wonderful stay
We stayed for two lovely nights in this beautiful VERY CLEAN house. The owner was nice and cooperative and the house was equipped with everything we could think of. Our three young boys enjoyed the outdoors and my parents enjoyed the views and tranquility. The house is located in a perfect place for sightseeing, hiking and just relaxation. I recommend it heartily and am planning to return soon!
Wonderful weekend trip for the whole family!
We took a long weekend with our children, grandchildren and 2 dogs. It was a wonderful time. The house and views were wonderful. It was a lovely home with plenty of room for everyone. Very neat and clean and all the amenities of home. The dogs had a wonderful time running around the yard and loved the long walks too. The grandkids love catching lightening bugs and just playing outside. Lexington is less than 5 minutes away and very easy to get too. Also have lots of things to do in the area. We all are looking forward to staying out there again!
