Once inside you’ll find a 3000 sq ft space furnished with many antiques, original artwork, and eclectic pieces of local folk art. The house, which has 14 ft ceilings, 10 ft pocket doors and the original hard wood floors, has also been completely updated with central HVAC, satellite TV, keyless door locks and wifi throughout.
There are 4 completely separate bedrooms off a central hallway; 3 full bathrooms; washer/dryer closet; gourmet kitchen with commercial grade dishwasher; dining room with seating for 8, and living room with flat screen TV, stereo/media system. There is plenty of safe on-street parking and we have a 24/7 exterior monitoring system to insure the security of our guests.
Our professionally managed Vacation Rental has been in operation since 2003 and is now licensed (NOLA STR# 17STR-05253) in accordance with with the new April 2017 city ordinance. There are a total of 4 licensed units in the house. This 4BR located on the top floor and three other units on the lower floor. From our location at the corner of Carondelet and 3rd Streets you can walk to St. Charles Ave in 1 minute and Magazine St. shops, restaurants and bars in just a few minutes more. If you are going to explore Uptown, the Arts Dist, CBD, or French Quarter the famed St. Charles Street Car Line is 200 ft from our door. United Taxi is our local cab company and we have excellent Uber service. If you prefer we can even recommend a private driver.
Please note: This apartment is on the second floor of a mid-1800's mansion with a grand staircase going up to the entrance hallway. It may not be suitable for those with ambulatory issues, or toddlers. There is no elevator.
In order to properly clean and prepare the units for all guests, we ask that you please adhere to the check-in time of 4pm and check-out time of 11am. If you need a place to put your bags, you may drop them off as early as 2pm on check-in day and pick them up by 2pm on check-out day. You must ask before booking if you need more flexible arrangements.
