About Diane Belanger
My three girls- who are now grown- and I discovered Bend in 1998. We love it. I spend as much time as possible in Bend, balanced with my consulting business which is based in San Francisco. One daughter lives in Sisters with her husband, one is a Duck (class of '15), and one is in school at UCLA. We gather in Bend often and hosted a wonderful family wedding in August of '13.
Diane Belanger purchased this House in 2011
Why Diane Belanger chose Westbrook Meadows
We call our Bend home 'The Campbell Cabin'. The minute we saw it we knew it was perfect. The neighborhood is peaceful and friendly and sits on the edge of both Tethrow and Broken Top golf clubs...both are a short walk-and are open for drinks, dinner or golf-even for non-members. I often walk across Century Blvd with my evening cocktail down to the river (a five minute walk) for a little fishing and ride my bike to town for breakfast (I like Sparrow and Strictly Organic). The location is perfect...on the way to Mt. Bachelor and out the front door are endless hikes and fabulous mountain and road biking...no need to drive. The Athletic Club of Bend is across the street and you can buy a day-pass to use this superb facility for about $15.
What makes this House unique
We love this home because it has the feel of both a cabin and a comfortable and casual family home; nothing too fancy or dainty. The minute I arrive, I begin to relax. The four bedrooms include two suites, each with their own bathrooms (one up and one downstairs) and two bedrooms that share a bath (both are upstairs). The big family room is upstairs; we call it the 'Tree House' because it looks out into the trees. The washer-dryer is upstairs as well. The kitchen is just great with a table made by a local craftsman. The house totals about 3,200 square feet. The yard in the back is perfect for lounging or entertaining. It also has both a large gas fire-pit, a small, enclosed wood burning fire pit and Weber charcoal grill. Perfect for a family with children or an extended family since there are two very separate areas to 'hang out'- upstairs and downstairs.

Beautiful, spacious home!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the home had just about everything we needed. It was nice to have all the space, bedrooms and bathrooms for 8 adults. Will gladly visit again and again!!
Thank you for taking such good care of our home. We look forward to your next visit.
Delightful and relaxing
Probably the best stocked home we’ve ever stayed in. Since we were 6 foodies, we did a lot of cooking. There was no shortage of pots, pans etc . I even found turmeric in the pantry, which is my go to spice. The accommodations were perfect and we made use of the fire pit and the grill. I highly recommend this accommodation. It’s a wonderful home.
Very spacious and comfortable
The house is great! We had a large group of friends and there was plenty of room for everyone. The grill and fire pit were nice to relax to. The house is in a nice location, a quick drive into the old mill district, though not really a walk. We had a great experience and would highly recommend the house!
We had a great stay. There was plenty of room and the location was great. A short drive into town and very close to the river trail. Thanks!
Positive experience was negatively overshadowed by unprofessional, unreliable property management.
We rented this property for 6 nights. We could not gain entry to the property upon check in, and also struggled to get in contact with property manager. Once we got ahold of Diane, we found out the the property had not been cleaned yet because the city had shut off the water earlier in the day. We went somewhere for a few hours and waited for the cleaners to return and finish. Diane was very apologetic and offered us compensation for the inconvenience in order to "make it right". She said we should expect to see that compensation at the same time we received our deposit back. Our deposit was refunded one week after returning from our trip, with no mention or acknowledgement of prior promised refund.
After having to contact Diane and ask her about the status of her previous commitment to a small refund for our inconvenience, (which she voluntarily offered, we did not ask for anything), she finally got back to us with a straightforward answer almost a month after our trip to explain that this will have to be a personal refund from her, and she needs our address to mail a check to us.
We will of course not be accepting a refund from her personally, as she is not the owner. We are disappointed in how the entire situation was handled from start to finish, and would not recommend renting this property. Unforeseen circumstances can and will always happen, and it is important to feel you can trust that your experience (and money) will be handled with honesty, integrity, straightforwardness, and follow through.
Thanks for your feedback and we apologize for any inconveniences during your stay. We have worked with Diane for years and she has always gone above and beyond to help our guests have a great experience. The reviews we receive from guests are constantly giving mention to her efforts, and she is one of the main reasons we have so many repeat guests. It's unfortunate that the city shut off the water on your check-in date, and we apologize for any miscommunication on the discretionary refund. I'm happy to hear you had a positive experience otherwise! Please feel free to reach out directly if you would like to discuss.

Welcome to our beautiful neighborhood home; we love it and are happy to share it with you. In its natural wooded setting the home has 4 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 8 people. The back yard has is quiet and peaceful...we held a 60th birthday party for 40 people last summer. Find some of the finest hiking and biking in all of Central Oregon right out the front door. Downtown Bend and all its amenities are one mile away, including: paddle boarding, tubing, swimming, kayaking and fishing on the Deschutes river. Lake Billy Chinook and many other lakes are a short drive away, as is Smith Rock with its breathtaking views for hikers in the family.
