Cozy Comfortable Well Maintained

  • 5 of 5

First, Communication with Joel was timely, pleasant, and thorough.Great House. Clean. well equipped, well maintained, cared for, peaceful, quiet, solid kitchen. Obviously continually updated and maintained. Everything worked! We came to Maine to see birds and do some fishing. Driveway can accommodate my 20 foot bass boat. Ramp is a few miles away. The fishing is fantastic. Smallies to 6, Largemouth to 5. I only fished mornings 7-12 averaging 20 good fish a morning...really. Bird watching was likewise fantastic. If you are a birder this place is heaven. Saw many, many warblers, vireos...over 40 different birds within 50 yards of the house. Serious birding territory. Went to Arcadia one day....sheeesh...stay was an unfathonable zoo. Went to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse the next day. Much calmer and beautiful coastal area. We ate in mostly...lobster from the grocery in Winthrop...yummy. If your kids need a continual dose of amusement parks; etc, this is not the place. This is the place where you can re-connect with nature and your kids, and be a kid yourself, again.

Cozy and secluded

  • 5 of 5

My family attended a wedding in the area, and since there are no hotels very close, this house was our best option. We had 7 adults upstairs in the main area. Sharing one bathroom wasn't the best situation, but we knew what we were getting into before we arrived. We also had two friends downstairs in the extra space, which was nice bc we then had access to the pool table and game area. The property out back is nice, and we made use of the canoe and kayaks. Come here for rustic solitude.

Very relaxing place

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 very relaxing days here and can't say enough good things about this property.. Just trundle down to the dock, sit in the deck chairs and gaze at the lake. Take the canoe out and watch eagles and osprey's hunting for fish. Build a fire in the fire pit at night and enjoy. Sunrises were the best and going out on the lake in the early morning is simply the best. While there are neighbors, we found it quiet and peaceful.

Amazing Property!

  • 5 of 5

First off, we rented this property hoping to have a small gathering with close family and friends, and Joel was incredibly accommodating for our group (from personal experience, it's very hard to find owners as kind and open to things like this as Joel!). We ended up having way more people than expected so decided to have it somewhere else (our choice - not Joel's) but still ended up staying at the property for four nights, and we can't recommend the place enough! It's incredibly spacious which makes it a perfect gathering place for getting together with family (it's hard to capture just how spacious the property is in pictures). The outdoor space is as beautiful as the home itself and you can't be on a more scenic lake. The bedrooms are also very comfortable and as a whole, the property has all the amenities you could possibly need for your time away! We also docked a pontoon boat there, and it was incredibly easy to pull in and out so for those who have a boat, you'll love this feature! We definitely want to make it back again to spend even more time at this beautiful spot. Thanks again to Joel for making our trip so memorable! :)

Wonderful Property!

  • 5 of 5

Our family returns to Maine every year however, we have never found a property that we would consider returning to. That all changed this year when we found this location. The house was wonderful and the view was amazing. I especially liked that the house faced the east so you could sit on the dock and drink your coffee while the sun was rising. The open floor plan in the kitchen/dining/living area was amazing. Everything about the house spoke comfort which was one of the things we found lacking in other properties. My son and his friend were able to use the kayaks and tool around on their own. The water was fairly shallow which provided me with some piece of mind when they were out on their own. We would highly recommend staying at this property!

Home away from camp

  • 4 of 5

This property worked out very well for us, giving us a home away from our nearby family camp. Joel was very helpful and attentive to all of our needs. We hope to do it again next year!
