Get out of the rental business

  • 1 of 5

The condo was clean and what we had expected. However, we drove ~3.5 hrs to get to the condo with three young kids. The cleaning personnel didn't restock the toilet paper, so the partially used roll that was left, was quickly gone. I contacted Patty and she said she was "busy" and wasn't able to come out to the condo and said to use Kleenex (none provided in the condo). I wound up driving to a nearby grocery store and picking up some TP for the night. Patty did offer to pay us back for the TP we purchased. Here's the problem. If you run a rental management company you should be able to handle calls like this and respond accordingly. The last thing I'm interested in doing is hearing you tell me you're too busy and use Kleenex. Simply unprofessional. Adding insult to the whole this is the generous offer to pay me $5 for the TP. Really? I drive over 3 hrs and then I need to get back into the car and spend another 30mins running down toilet paper....for $5. Do everyone a favor and find someone to manage the property in a professional manner. Any hotel or VRBO managed by a larger rental company would have handled this better.

Owner's Response: Hello Clifton I am very sorry for the inconvenience. There was toilet paper there --I asked. I was not too busy it was in the evening and all the staff had gone home. I do not live near the property. I explained I could be there first thing with ample supplies. I only suggested Kleenex to hold you over until the AM. I did not realize you expected compensation for the inconvenience. If this was the case I wish you had contacted me directly. We could have discussed options. I like my guests to be happy guests and I am sorry that this issue cast a unhappy cloud on your experience. Since that time I have instructed staff to be absolutely certain there are ample supplies for the guest. I have also been personally inspecting each unit prior to arrival. Again my apologies. Patty

So Comfy....

  • 5 of 5

As native Oregonians we have always loved Central Oregon. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in the area we love. It's been many years since we've stayed at the Inn at the 7th Mountain, but staying in a condo was a very wise choice for us. We found the condo updated and very comfortable. Patty the propert manager was very accomidating and replyed to our questions promptly. We will definitely come again.
