After dinner you could retire to one of the two master bedrooms with queen size beds and sliding glass doors that you could leave open to hear the sounds of the ocean and feel the ocean breezes.
Shore Thing is about two miles from the quaint settlement of Great Guana Cay which has restaurants, dive & snorkel shops, boat renting and site-seeing tours. We spent a long week at Shore Thing as a group of 4 & then 6 & thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The privacy & seclusion & uncrowded beach...coupled with the fantastic reef nearby made this an excellent vacation. The property is clean & well maintained, the owners are wonderful at communicating & answering all questions, including arranging golf carts & taxi transfers at Marsh Harbor.
The location was great..we felt very safe & it takes 9-10 minutes to get to the grocery store with the golf cart. You could walk to the beach, 2 are nearby & both have good snorkeling, but drifting one beach to the next was the longest snorkel drift.
General info one should know in going to this destination: (because this will likely cause some to not want to go!): water is collected rainwater, so that means navy showers & no dishwasher. The grocery store is not open Sunday & closes each day around 5-6 (varies by day) so if you need to buy water, make sure you arriving before the store closes! (or get it in Marsh) Eating out is about $18 for a burger & fries...that's without cheese or bacon. The grocery store is limited in selection, so think basics & be flexible...when we saw tomatoes looked bad, we used strawberries instead on our salad...the lettuce looked bad so we used cabbage. Prices at the grocery aren't bad on basic needs, but on junky snacks, like chips, you'll find them at least double...a bag of corn chips was $5. Power outages are random in length, time and duration...the first day we had less than 12 hours of power, but no noticeable outages the rest of our stay. (you can't use water when there's an outage) Again, be flexible & willing to cook on the grill/go to the beach when the power is out. We thought this was an acceptable exchange for the seclusion that we had on this trip!
