About Lois Lane
Lois is a native Charlestonian and has lived in many neighborhoods downtown. She owns a real estate company and has been in the business for 30 years. She has been involved in numerous renovations around the city and particularly loves historic Cannonborough. It is vibrant, diverse, exciting and yet retains so many of the elements that has made Charleston one of the most livable city's in the United States.
Lois Lane purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why Lois Lane chose Downtown Charleston
The house on Cannon Street is particularly sweet. Originally it was a four room house with a center hall and a two story kitchen house at the back. The neighborhood was originally settled by many working immigrants but the architecture is true to Charleston. There are a number of very impressive homes in the neighborhood along with smaller Charleston single style homes retaining their original charm.
What makes this Cottage unique
The house is situated on a large lot which leaves plenty of room for parking. Each of the three units here have their own porch, perfect for enjoying the afternoon breeze after a long day of seeing the historic sites. The apartments are equipped for cooking but you will probably want to walk a few blocks for some local cuisine.

I liked how we were close enough to walk everywhere without being right in the middle of the crowds. The house was clean and comfortable and I liked that they had off street private parking. Check in and check out was so easy. Being close the the bakery Sugar was definitely a plus, the best cookies ever!!
Nice Property, Good Location
The cottage has everything you need. It is 1 block from bus stop with a free bus to visitor center. There are 3 bus routes that are free. The cottage has tourist info to use. The owner has thought of everything. The bed is very comfortable. We would stay again.
In the middle of everything..
We checked into the property easily and were happy to have off street parking. The cottage is exactly as pictured. We were within walking distance to several breakfast / lunch restaurants and a short drive to the Historic market. We walked several places from the market. The cottage has the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, I knew that, but didn't think about it until it was three in the morning. It was very cool to stay in a residence as old as this is. The neighborhood is in a state of renewal,
My husband and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary in Charleston and the cottage was perfect for our stay. We parked our vehicle there and didn’t move it again until we left! We brought our bikes and were able to get everywhere downtown we wanted to go easily on bikes and on foot! The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable and the perfect size for us! We would definitely stay there again!
Charming one bed one bath cottage within walking to everything
Awesome wonderful quiet cottage for a romantic two night stay in downtown Charleston! Close to restaurants and shopping.
This is a cute small cottage. It is a bit far out of main part of town- 35 min. walk. If you are walkers, it's not an issue. I would recommend ear plugs. Both nights the medical helicopter flew twice and it's loud. Off street parking is a plus.
