This classic adobe-style home has an open plan Living and Dining Room which adjoins to the fully stocked Kitchen and Breakfast Bar. A Kiva fireplace adds Southwestern atmosphere. French Doors lead to a pretty trellised Patio where you may enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
A Queen Bedroom has its own En suite Bath, with Double Sinks, a Walk In Shower and Soaking Tub. A Second Bedroom Features Two Twin Beds which may be pushed together to create a King (bed bridge included), and also has its own Bath with a generous walk in Shower. Other highlights of the home include traditional touches such as Hand Troweled Plaster walls, Mexican Talavera tiles and a set of Antique Shutters.
Modern touches include WiFi throughout the home, Air Conditioning, a Gas Grill, a Front Loading Washer and Dryer, and a Keurig Coffee Maker.
Our location is fantastic! The house is on East Palace Avenue, one of Santa Fe’s prettiest streets, just 5 lovely blocks from the Historic Plaza and 4 blocks to Canyon Road. The La Posada Hotel, with its wonderful spa and nice restaurant, is just two blocks away. The Santa Fe Pick-Up Shuttle has 4 stops along Canyon Road if you don’t feel like walking.

Casa Sombra is a wonderful place to call home while exploring the Santa Fe area. The kitchen has everything we needed during the three weeks we were there. The bed is very comfortable as is the whole house. Everything we needed was provided.
The location is great for walking to the plaza, restaurants, and shopping. It’s also convenient for visiting historical spots outside of Santa Fe and close to lots of great hiking.
Working with the managers of Casa Sombra was a pleasure. Plenty of information was provided about the house, restaurants, and tourist attractions. Any questions we had were answered in a timely fashion.

We have been renting in Santa Fe for 30 years. This is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. It is warm, clean, comfortably furnished, and conveniently located. It is well supplied with towels, paper products, and cleaning supplies. The kitchen has everything you need including sharp knives, a great toaster oven, and two coffee makers. Great lighting for reading. The wood-burning fireplace has a great draft and the furniture allows you to get up close. The local streets are charming with lots of birdsong. Scott, the manager, is very responsive. We highly recommend this Santa Fe property.
I have stayed at a number of HomeAway properties and this is one of the best. Fabulous location in a lovely residential neighborhood but an easy walk to the Plaza and Canyon Road. And best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental property. Thank you for sharing your home and I look forward to coming back soon.
The house is well equipped with all conveniences. Person handling the property located in Santa Fe & immediately responded to questions/concerns. Enjoyed our week.
We loved it! The house was very clean and charming.The beds were very comfy. The showers were large. The kitchen was stocked with the best of everything. The appliances were the highest quality. We enjoyed the patio but during the Indian Market the street noise was a little more than we expected and the traffic was heavy. Since we are in our seventies, We took Uber to the Plaza and walked back to the house. If we were a bit younger we could have easily walk both ways or taken the shuttle. It took us several days to realize that we could make tea with the water from the fridge. No need to buy water!

Rental Terms and Conditions:
25% of total rental amount is due upon booking.
Final rental payment plus the damage deposit is due 45 days prior to the arrival date.
If reservation is made within 50 days of arrival, full payment and damage deposit will be charged at time of booking.
If the reservation is cancelled 60 days or more before the arrival date, you will receive a full refund.
If the reservation is cancelled within 60 days of the arrival date, you forfeit the 25% deposit.
If the reservation is cancelled less than 45 days of the arrival date, no refund will be available. You will have the option re-book within one year of the original reservation based on availability, or if we are able to re-book the house during your rental period, we will refund the amount of rent collected for the re-booking, less the 25% deposit.
Damage Policy:
We do not require a damage deposit and do not anticipate any problems and believe that all our guests will respect the property as if it were their own.
