3 Bedrooms, 1, Bathroom, Sleeps 4
We bought this house, as a place that both our guests, myself and my husband would enjoy. We live in Massachusetts, a little over an hour away from Wareham. We love going down to the cottage. Mostly we enjoy, watching the tide and boats go in and out while my husband and I sit on the deck and chat about the day. In the summer, we enjoy kayaking and all the activities that the area has to offer, plus four beaches nearby .
Valerie purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Valerie chose Wareham Center
We chose this property because of its quiet location and water views. It has a central location to The Cape, Plymouth, Boston and Providence. Also, we don't have to deal with the infamous Cape Cod Bridge traffic.
What makes this Cottage unique
What I think is the best benefit of this house, is that I can open the door and windows to feel the cool water breezes come flowing into the house. There is a great fenced in yard, split into two sections, for the kids and pets to roam and play and for the adults to sit and enjoy the day. In one section, we placed a firepit/grill where we enjoy quiet evenings while grilling chicken and vegetables. The other section of the yard is covered with green grass, a cool place to spend the afternoon. It is located on a peninsula with water views in three directions. The one way street means there is very little traffic. All in all quite quiet. There is also an outdoor shower.

Great place to stay
We had a pleasant stay at this home.
The owner makes you really feel at home,
Everything is well kept, you get beach access to different beaches, dining and shopping is only a short drive. The neighborhood is very quiet and secure.
Great Place to Stay
It was real easy to book with wonderful communication with owners. Valerie made you feel so comfortable and welcome into their home. Upon arrival they greeted us with a sign to welcome us along with some bottles of water and a bag of chocolates. She was thoughtful enough to have a basket with containers of cold cereal, bananas and milk. There were detailed instructions on how to use the outdoor shower and appliances inside. She had take out menus and maps for your usage. A wonderful hostess and a great little cottage. I will be back.
Thank you for your wonderful review...we will definitely enjoy having you back again. Have a great summer!!!
BTW...it looks like you only gave us one star, is that what you wanted to do?
Great little place. The owners really thought of everything. I would certainly rent it again
It was very nice of you, Mike, to rent our house for your father. Good Son!!! Your father took very good care of it, and we would surely want either you or him back again.
Perfect beach house for a stay in Cape Cod.
I've always dreamed of coming to Cape Cod and I found this house and knew it would be perfect for us and it was. Valerie was so accommodating and easy to work with from the very start when I booked at Christmas time and she has turn this place into a Little Dream House. Price location and accomodations we're the best for our family..... We never want to leave ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Anne, you were easy to work with also, and you were great guests!!!
Sunny, Great Views, Comfortable Cottage
We stayed a week in June 2018. The cottage was clean and well maintained. The air conditioning worked well. Beautiful views on the peninsula the cottage was located on. Nice deck to sit and enjoy the views. Many shade trees all around. Nice and quiet area behind a provide fence to enjoy the fire pit. We enjoyed Netflix, Amazon movies and many more movie channels. It has Wifi. The kitchen was well stocked with dished, pans, etc. The owner was very sweet to leave us a bowl of fruit, bottled water and candies for our stay. Which we gladly used and enjoyed. She was just a call away if we needed her--but nothing came up. Everything went great. So much to do off Cape and easy to get on the Cape. We made day trips to Cape Cod Canal and the Railroad Bridge where there is a walking and bike path. we went to Ned's Point and Light House in Marion. Onset Village, Beach and Cruise. Plymouth's Pilgrim Belle Cruise and the Mayflower. Many restaurants in the area. Many beaches large and small. We went kayaking, off of the Pinehurst Beach ( a few houses, down the street) on the river-it was windy when we went, which made paddling rough--but was able to get around. We did not bike, but many bikers going by, nice place to ride bikes, no real traffic. We did not mini golf, but mini golfing in Buzzards Bay. For rainy days there are movie theaters in Wareham, Falmouth and North Dartmouth Mall. I know in the area there are Deep Sea Fishing Cruises if you like to go out fishing. I know in the Fall there is King Richard's Renaissance Faire, in Carver area-which is a fun thing to do-if here in September. We enjoyed our stay and would consider it again, when staying in the area.
Thank you Susan for the great review. I am so glad you enjoyed the cottage and discovered the great benefits of staying in Wareham - "Off-Cape". We would certainly welcome you to come any time.
We rented this for 8 weeks. The cottage is roomy and the beds comfy, the kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom modern and updated. It was great to have a washer and dryer too.
HOWEVER .....I was not prepared to rent a house that had not been cleaned ! Two days I spent cleaning...the towels provided were damp and musty along with the dishrags that stunk like crazy . All surfaces in the house were thick with dust . The dishes had a sticky film over them and the pots and pans also .The antiquated Eureka upright vac was inadequate so we bought a vac to keep the place clean. The furniture in the living room where one should be able to relax was ancient and uncomfortable and nothing coordinated with anything else !Upon lifting the couch cushions to clean I found dirt and tissues and old food that had been there for who knows how long. The kitchen table although cute was very fragile, rickety I would say and we had to use great caution to make sure the chairs did not come apart and break. We also had to clean the porch as it had leaves and acorns from last fall stuck under the table and chairs.
Personally, I would NEVER rent this again .We left a week early and lost our $ because we were so uncomfortable,
I am glad you enjoyed our roomy cottage, including the comfy beds, the fully equipped kitchen and the updated bathroom. The washer and dryer on the main floor is also very convenient. I hope you also had time to spend in our new outdoor private patio.
I am sorry you did not otherwise feel comfortable. We make a thorough cleaning of the house, each time before a guest arrives. I am impressed that you found dirt under the cushions and acorns under the outside deck table and chairs.
We are constantly updating our amenities at the cottage. Looking to make it more comfortable, not only for me and my husband when we stay, but also for our wonderful guests.
