About Ling Yi Liu
Travelling is a passion of mine. I love to experience new places, new foods and meet new people. Having lived in Brazil, Japan, Thailand and many years here in the United States I appreciate diverse viewpoints and customs. Getting helpful insight from friendly locals makes any stay so much richer. For my day job, I develop multifamily housing. I am interested in creating living solutions that allow residents to pursue their passions and interests while having a smaller environmental footprint. To that end, I am involved in a startup that uses architectural robotics to create transformable spaces. As a father of five, I am a family man. I appreciate the challenges and joys of travelling with family. My wife and I took our children down the Silk Road on a 3 week hand carry only trip. Getting good local advice can be critical to making a stay pleasant and rewarding for every member of the family.

This apartment was continently located on a quiet street near a wonderful pond with a great walking/bike path. The apartment was clean & bright with a nice flow/feel to the arrangement. It was comfortable & fit our needs perfectly.
Very clean, well kept appt. Nice layout. Comfortable furnishings. Everything in working order.
Great location. About 1 mi. to the T. Walking distance to groceries, restaurants, and drug stores. Near parks. Walking distance to Harvard Square. Don't really need a car with the walking convenience and transportation nearby. Beautiful neighborhood. Would rent again if my travels take me back to the Boston area.
Clean, friendly, great location
Owners were super great to deal with leading up to our stay, during, and after. They are professional and friendly - quick to answer questions and very organized. The check in/check out procedures were super simple and easy. The property itself was great - wonderful location. There is a T station and several grocery stores/places to eat within a mile (definitely walking distance). We had rented a car and found that driving from the apartment to the City was pretty quick and simple. Of course, the T is right there which is a great transportation alternative if you prefer. The accomodations were great - place was very clean, all necessary linens, toiletries, kitchen items, etc. stocked. Our one and only complaint really was that the apartment walls are paper thin - we could hear the neighbors (and each other) and I'm sure they could hear us. But I guess what does one expect from an apartment in the city anyway? We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back.
Clean, comfortable and convenient
Very easy to find, close to our family and easily accessed via car or uber. Check in and check out went very smoothly with the exception of the incorrect door code upon arrival, which was quickly remedied with a phone call. The apartment had everything for our family of two adults and 3 adult/teen children: beds, bedding, towels, and basic cooking supplies. The coffee pot proved to be finicky to use and would spill over, but overall a very pleasant stay.
Thank you for your comments and we're glad you had a comfortable stay. We're sorry there was that snag with the incorrect door codes, but we have since updated our equipment to avoid problems like that in the future. Thank you for alerting us about the coffee pot. We'll definitely look into that. Hope that we can serve you again in the future!

Perfect location for a Boston/Harvard visit
The property was just as described - clean, well-furnished, quiet, with wi-fi and a well-supplied kitchen for our cooking needs. The open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen was handy for planning our outings, and the three bedrooms and two baths made getting "up and out" each day a snap for three ladies traveling together! The only amenity missing was a full-length mirror!
The property is located within walking distance of a bus stop that connects to the T-station at Harvard Square for trips into Boston proper and beyond. (1-day and 7-day "Charlie Passes" are for sale at the T-station in Harvard Square for use on the trains and buses - super easy!) Nearby are a Whole Foods, Starbucks, restaurants, shops, a movie theater, a park, and Fresh Pond, all within a ten-minute walk. We had planned to spend part of our time in New England, driving to western Massachusetts and Vermont, and found an Enterprise car rental agency conveniently located around the corner, as well! For those driving with their own cars, a parking space is also available.
Communication with the owners was prompt (confirmation was within an hour) and questions were also answered in a timely manner.
We enjoyed visits to Harvard Yard and the Harvard Museum of Natural History, the Kennedy Presidential Library, and a day exploring Beacon Hill and the Freedom Trail. Lots of good restaurants to choose from around Quincy Market and in the Italian district along the Freedom Trail, and near Harvard Square in Cambridge.
We would highly recommend this property for a stay in the Boston area!
