Fantastic Home and Perfect Location
My wife and I stayed here with some friends for a few days in August 2017 and could not have been more pleased with the entire trip. The house was perfect - it was clean, taken care of, well furnished, and an absolute dream for our group. The location is great - right across the street from beach access and within a short walk to everything in downtown Wrightsville Beach. The homeowner was also kind enough to let us arrive a little early to park and enjoy the beach during the early afternoon. All in all, it was a perfect vacation home and will certainly make plans to stay here again during our next group trip.
Perfect spot and a huge bonus that we could rent for 3 nights and not a week. Extremely easy walk to the beach and we walked to dinner every night. The house was clean and spacious and Maggie was very responsive.
Incredible Beach House!!
My family and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and it was incredible. The condo was very clean, had everything we needed and very affordable. The owner was fantastic to work with! Great location for everything the beach offers! Very nicely decorated, plenty of room for our family of 7. So enjoyed getting up in the morning and having a cup of coffee on the deck. Within walking distance of really cool places to eat and shop. I would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks for the memories M!!
The house was very adequate and acceptable in terms of size and location, meeting the needs of our family gathering. BUT the plumbing was partially defective and filled the first floor with sewer gas odors from time to time making it difficult too tolerate. The second day in the unit the cable/internet service was cut off because the owner had failed to pay the bill. We attempted to contact the owner via the only means available - email - which went unanswered for several days. When we attempted to use the gas grill we found the gas tank was completely empty requiring the purchase of a new one. The ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms had many broken sections resulting in slivers of ceramic in the bare feet of users. There was no "Information Packet" in the unit and no way of knowing how to contact the owner or time to be cleared out of the unit, but the owner did call us at 9:30 am to tell us we had to vacate by 10:00 am that same day - hardly adequate notice to users. Obviously disappointed.
I'm sorry that the renter did not feel that they had a satisfactory stay, but here are the facts:
The renter complained about a bad smell emanating from the washer upstairs, not downstairs. The sewer gas smell was checked on the same day that the renters left by a professional plumber and was found nonexistent. Neither he nor the cleaners smelled anything, but to give the renters the benefit of doubt he checked all the inside and outside pipes and found everything in proper condition.
The cable issue was a cable company issue that was fixed as soon as we found out about it.
The grill is an extra perk that we provide with the understanding that everyone that uses it gets their own gas. The info is posted on the listing.
We provide curtesy linens and towels, so our cleaners need the time to get the house ready for the next guests. The check out is also posted on the listing, but I gave them a call just to remind them. They said that they were not ready, so I gave them another hour. They finally left at noon.
I guess you can't please everyone.
Beautiful Spacious House
The property was clean and well maintained. The master bedroom with large bathroom, huge walk in closet and deck were lovely. The beach is across the street; restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Great location! Overall the house is nicely decorated and the rooms are spacious with a tasteful mix of colors and is a dog friendly property. It was comfortable for a family of eight and a dog. We enjoyed walking to Robert's grocery store in the morning for homemade donuts and to the new coffee shop called "The Workshop".
