About Tina Tankka

Our family has been enjoying Tahoe, now, for many years, always amazed at the magical feeling it delivers. We look forward to all its seasonal changes, the salmon run in the fall, the skiing in the winter, the water falls in the spring, the lakeside activities in the summer. Each time we ascend the mountain, we never tire of that magical feeling as the city falls behind and you enter into the big country.

Tina Tankka purchased this house in 2012

Why Tina Tankka chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

Having looked for many years and wishing a small piece of Tahoe to be ours, we very luckily stumbled upon Hansel Cabin. Newly remodeled and decorated with vacationers in mind who want to call a place a home, we would like to share with you a piece of Sierra paradise.

What makes this house unique

Modern amenities grace our cabin and Tahoe Donner, while Old Town Truckee whisks you back into the time when westward parties forged their mountain settlements. Relax in Tahoe Donner's spa, swimming pools and private Donner Lake beach or play hard and embrace the renegade in you.

Perfect vacation home - kids love it

  • 5 of 5

This house is updated with modern amenities and tastefully decorated. It looks even better than in the photos! My kids loved the bunk beds. They each took one set and didn't have to fight who gets the top. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace and reading a book - Tina has a lot of good books!

The location is very convenient - less than 10 minutes drive after we got off high way 80. It is centrally located with short drive to Squaw and Northstar. There is a big open space in the back of the house and kids had a great time playing with snow and sledding. We didn't have to go to the paid snow play area nearby.

The owner Tina was very easy to work with and very accommodating. She was always accessible by phone when we had questions about the house. We're already planning our next visit. Thanks Tina for sharing your beautiful home!

Perfect Home for a Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This home worked out perfectly for our weekend company trip up to Tahoe. The house was clean and the location was perfect. The owner is very professional and organized and setting up our reservation was a total breeze. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in the area.

Perfect for family gathering

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this house. The cousins had a great time sleeping in the bunk beds. Our favorite part about the house was eating out on the back deck in the warm summer nights and walking down to the pool and pizza joint. It's so close! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Family Fun Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an awesome time staying in this home. We had a large group for the weekend and then just four of us for the rest of the week. It was perfect for two families and for kids. We could walk to the pool and pizza, go for short hikes right at the end of the street and take a short drive to a larger community center and lake. The house was clean and kid-friendly. We hope to return!
