About the property

2 BR, Wrap around deck, private dock, canoe, rowboat, magnificent views.

Secluded lakefront New Hampshire get-away with your own private dock, canoe, rowboat and swimfloat. Our 1960's hand-built cottage in the woods with wrap-around deck overlooks a beautiful, peaceful lake and the Ossipee Mountain range. Great views of lake, woods, mountains, local wildlife and sky. The cottage flanked by mature evergreens, white birches, and dozens of granite boulders. Gentle shoreline and beachy area with private dock, swim float, canoe, rowboat and outdoor fire-circle. Excellent fishing, stargazing, hiking, bird-watching, and delicious water from our deep artesian well. One mile by gravel road off of NH route 25. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy being close to nature. Wireless internet access and land line telephone. Small screen DVD player with free DVD rentals at nearby Moultonboro Library. The ever-changing natural beauty of this spot encourages a refreshing retreat from the hubub of modern living. You will see occasional paddlers or fishermen puddering by, but more often than not, it's almost like having your own private lake.

We has been enjoying our visits to Lee's Pond for over 30 years. Our cottage does not have the spit and shine of a modern spacious rental but has all the essentials for a comfortable get-away and satisfying retreat into nature. We are seeking responsible folks who deeply appreciate natural beauty and are comfortable with modest accommodations. Please email us and talk with Brian or Donna for more information. We consider our Lee's Pond Cottage an extraordinary place.

Sleeps 3. Well-behaved pets welcome.

Thank you for your interest in our cottage!

Friday 7:00 a.m.

Only here for about 10 hours but I feel the stress of the everyday already rolling off me ... I am not a “morning person” but our dog needed to go for here usual 6 a.m. so got up for a leash walk, which was so nice in the cool quite morning light. Came back to find the sun starting to peek over the mountain, so made the coffee and am now sitting here .... reading, drinking coffee and relaxing - without guilt! Meanwhile, Bill took a walk and had a bear run across the road right in front of him - at the corner of Acorn Road.

Saturday, September 1

Sitting with coffee and the sunrise again ... much brighter and stronger this morning after last night’s powerful storm. We think the hummingbird wants to come over and partake but she seems a bit nervous about it - either because I am sitting right under the feeder or because she senses the sleeping dog. 2 and 1/2 hikes yesterday ... The Loon Center trail in the morning was was wonderful - well marked and a lovely rom for the dog - even if it was past nesting season. Finished the day with the Sewall Woods Conservation Trails in Wolfeboro, which was a nice relaxing end to the day. The 1/2 hike was Red Hill Fire Tower - more than we bargained for on a hot afternoon so decided to save for another time. Donna and Brian, thank you so much for sharing this very special place. The cottage and location and everything about our time here has been magical. We look forward to coming back soon.

Breathtaking View from the Deck!!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was absolutely perfect and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. It is located in a well established area for such a private setting. There are 2 big sliders from the living room onto the deck where the view is Amazing, right on the lake. You can then walk from the deck to the shore where there sits a beautiful fire pit and chairs to sit. There is a private dock with chairs to relax. There you will get a visit from a family of Geese and be amazed when the fish start jumping all around. We had a cool night and the wood stove was perfect, so cozy. There is Wi-Fi that works great. The owners are super nice and very accommodating with any questions. The guest book was awesome and we wrote quite a lot of good things, that you will enjoy reading. It was such the perfect and romantic setting that I proposed on the dock and we are getting Married!! We are looking forward to going back as husband and wife-Thank You for this unforgettable Moment. Brian and Jenny.

A Quiet Week on Lee's Pond

  • 5 of 5

As a former property owner on neighboring Winnipesaukee, my expectations were high heading into this rental. We were not disappointed. A wonderful, secluded, quiet, and scenic location. No frills, just basic. Everything we wanted in a Lakewood getaway.

Rustic Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation at Lee's Pond was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Relaxing on the deck overlooking the pond, one experiences an endless display of beauty and serenity with the light constantly changing, loons calling out from across the way, and herons diving for fish. With no motor boats allowed, this serenity is uninterrupted. As described, the cabin has basic necessities and worked well for just the two of us. While tucked away on a back road, one is only ten minutes from good restaurants, grocery stores and a farmer's market. We enjoyed several meals right at the cottage with our "catch of the day." The owners provide excellent communication about both the cottage and the area and make sure the cottage is clean with fresh towels and linens provided. We very much look forward to returning.

A dream come true!

  • 5 of 5

Lee's Pond cottage was like a dream come true! Quiet, secluded, and oh so peaceful, with the bass literally jumping out of the water! The cottage is cozy, comfortable and quaint! Close proximity to Center Harbor and Merideth. Loved the sound of the mysterious loon at night. Will definitely be back next year! Thanks you for a great vacation!

A Great Vacation Week

  • 5 of 5

Our week's stay at Lee's Pond was everything we'd hoped for. Simple, complete and comfortable accommodations in a wonderful setting, we enjoyed it all. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, an open fire in the evening, reading, relaxing, we lost track of the days that ended too soon. Recommended if you'd like a sense of seclusion and quiet in a natural environment. All the Lakes Region has to offer is yours when you choose to venture out, but you may find you prefer to stay and enjoy this unique property. Thanks again to our hosts.

Peaceful and relaxing!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Lees Pond Cottage. A great place to unwind and relax. We enjoyed watching the ever-changing views of the mountains and clouds. Ealy morning steam coming off the pond on a cool morning. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Had fun fishing, sitting by the campfire, watching sunrise and sunsets. A great place to go to recharge your batteries! One of the best vacations we have had.

The cottage is surrounded by the natural beauty of lake, woods, sky, and mountains. From our private dock, the NH Loon Center can be reached by a 15 minute canoe paddle across Lee's Pond and short walk. There are both easy and challenging hikes and adventures to take in our local area. Two highly recommended local attractions: Castle in the Clouds and the NH Science Center. In addition the NH White Mountains National Forest area is less than 40 minutes away by car.
