About Becky Jarrell

We are a busy family of six from Dunwoody, GA. My oldest is attending Georgia College and State University. I also have a high school boy and twin girls in middle school. We have all loved coming to Sapphire Valley for years to visit grandparents, to play golf and to hike.

In fall 2010, we were blessed to purchase this brand new town home and we have begun to make our own traditions in the mountains. I have a personal mission to visit every waterfall and hiking trail in the area! (Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls, which are downstream on the Horsepasture River, are my favorites.) I have also become passionate about traditional Appalachian music and have begun playing the dulcimer, which I learned at a camp at nearby Western Carolina University.

We come up to our mountain retreat as often as possible, but the kids' schedules often make it difficult to come as much as we like, so we have decided to also rent our vacation home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Why Becky Jarrell chose Sapphire

This property is unique in its combination of location, spaciousness and newness.

The location is fabulous. It is both secluded in the woods and also only a short, flat walk to the Sapphire Valley Resort. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants, grocery, and outdoor activities.

The three-story design is spacious. The den and dining area are great for family games, but you can also retreat to the front porch or the back porch for quiet conversation while the kids play in the third floor bonus room. The three main bedrooms on the second floor each have their own adjoining bathroom. The top floor is a large bonus/bed room with a table for Monopoly, an extra sofa and bunk beds.

Finally, the town home is pretty and new, with granite kitchen counter tops, a beautiful stacked stone gas fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, and tiled showers. It is truly a mountain retreat.

What makes this townhome unique

- Great location: secluded in the woods, yet short walk to Sapphire Valley Resort activities

- Third-story bonus room

- Pretty and serene

Relaxation at its best!!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in your townhome and the use of the amenities at Sapphire Valley. The little waterfall off of the road leading into the complex was a real treat, and I loved sitting on the deck and listening to the river. Relaxation at its best!!!

We look forward to returning to the area.

Our family of 7 enjoyed our Christmas in this beautiful, well kept, riverside condo walking distance to the ski resort. We enjoyed all the amenities, restaurants, church, hiking trails and nearby shoppes of Cashiers and Highlands. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone with a family.

Well appointed, comfortable home in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our long weekend here. We had a wedding in the Highlands/Sapphire area and this townhouse was perfectly located to all the events. The Horsepasture River right off the deck provided a lovely natural soundtrack. Inside the place is well-designed and the furnishings are very comfortable. Kitchen had everything necessary for cooking. Ample bedrooms with a 3rd floor with bunk beds. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in going to this area.

Winter Holiday Week

  • 4 of 5

This was a good place to stay in Sapphire Valley. Plenty off room and a well provisioned kitchen. Stayed between Christmas and New Year. Hiked during warm days to Whiteside Mountain and skied on the cold days. Got lucky to be there the first day of the season for the main ski hill. Micas was our favorite restaurant in the area.
