About the property

Make yourselves at home in this spacious 3BR/2BA contemporary Cape located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a neighborhood that borders national seashore land. With a queen bedroom on the first floor and two additional bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full /2 twins) upstairs, there's room to sleep 8. You'll love the peaceful and spacious backyard that offers direct access to the bike trail but is also private. Inside, there are hardwood floors throughout, along with wireless internet, an iPod/MP3 docking station, flat screen TV, and a DVD player. You'll be able to cool off with a window AC unit in each of the bedrooms, and a ceiling fan and floor fans in the living room. A mud room conveniently located on the first floor with a brand new washer/dryer makes it easy to keep up with laundry. If you like to gather outdoors, there's a deck, gas grill, and large outdoor shower. There's also plenty of room to relax on a wooden swing plus an additional seating area with table and chairs. The location couldn't be better: The Marconi National Seashore beach is approximately one mile away and you'll have access to Wellfleet's many beautiful ocean and bay beaches and pristine ponds, all located just minutes away. There's lots to do with the Audobon Nature Preserve, Wellfleet Drive In and Flea Market, and many restaurants located nearby.

About Jill Grossman

We live in Connecticut and love vacationing on the Cape.

Jill Grossman purchased this house in 2012

Why Jill Grossman chose Wellfleet

After years of vacationing in Wellfleet, we decided to purchase a home here in 2012 and were thrilled to find this lovely property. It is in a great location and offers many amenities. Wellfleet is a fantastic place to vacation; the village itself is charming with its art galleries and shops and the beaches and ponds are spectacular. The location is also convenient to Eastham and Orleans. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

The peaceful backyard, open floor plan, proximity to the bike trail/beaches and all that Wellfleet has to offer make this home irresistible.

Map

Minutes away from both Wellfleet, with its art galleries and shops, and Orleans, very close to Wellfleet Drive In and Audobon Society, close to beaches and ponds and one mile to National Seashore beach. Less than 100 yards from the bike trail!

Great family accomodations

  • 5 of 5

We are 'experienced' Cape Cod vacationers and this home had everything we needed. Clean upon arrival, fully equipped kitchen, two full baths and an outside shower, multiple beds, large deck, full size washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, flat screen TV with Cable, a few steps away from the Rail Trail through the backyard, and a few blocks from Route 6. You have to bring your own towels and sheets.

Perfect house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in this lovely, well equipped, comfortable home in Wellfleet! The location was great... Within a 15 minute ride to Orleans and 10 minutes to Wellfleet Center. Walk through the backyard and you are on the trail and can bike to Marconi Beach! Wonderful , peaceful deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee.

Comfortable, airy house, well-maintained, and great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this house. The location on the bike path is great for walks and runs, and the yard and deck are wonderfully relaxing places to hang out, eat, etc. The house is comfortable and very well stocked. I highly recommend it! Jill was incredibly responsive to our needs and helpful!

Very comfortable and close to beaches

  • 4 of 5

I’ve been meaning to write to you ever since we came back from our week in Wellfleet to tell you that we had a really nice time at your home. It was exactly what we were looking for and had everything we needed, both comfortable and clean. It was good to be so close to the beaches and yet the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We were lucky with the weather too as the week previous to ours had been cloudy and cool. I hope to be able to rent it again.

Hope you have a great summer.

Regards,

Mairéad

An excellent house for a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this comfortable and well-equipped house taking a different route each day that included a hike, a beach outing and a pond swim. The back yard has a spectacular stand of trees with rich bird life that we appreciated over breakfast on the back porch. A path nearby that leads to the rail trial and opens the way to Cape exploration. We were rewarded by following recommendations for hikes in the guide book supplied. The house has all necessary amenities for an easy and comfortable stay.

Biking in Wellfleet - A great house near Ocean Beaches on a quiet road on the Rail Trail

  • 5 of 5

A great house with lots of space, well supplied with cooking supplies. They added a new webber grill which we made use of. The Cape Cod Rail trail is located behind the property, but is still private and well wooded. You can bike a mile to the PB Boulongerie for pastries and coffee in the AM. Bike to nearby beaches, Bike all the way to Nickerson State Park (we did) or all the way to Dennis - about 20 miles one way. Close to the Drive-in Theater, a short drive to town to Mack's Shack for dinner or Moby's for some fried/broiled seafood. Its in quiet neighborhood, on a cul-de-sac, great for families with small children. A nice deck out back to hang out on after a day at the beach.

Nice having the downstairs Master Bedroom. Our grown children used the upstairs bedrooms, so we didnt worry about whether they picked up after themselves!

A great house, well maintained.
