Thank you for choosing 'Cozy Cub'. If you're looking for the perfect rental accomodation, not into camping and not wanting to spend a lot of money, you have found the perfect place for relaxation and fun. This cabin is only six years old, impeccably maintained, loaded with amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, a Direct Satelite TV with DVD player, and a gorgeous view of the forest right outside your window. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other bedroom has two bunk beds (for up to 4 persons). This unit is located in the downstairs floor of the cabin. It is accessed by and outside stair case on the side of the cabin.

Yosemite West is the perfect location for your mountain getaway. We are centrally located inside the gates of Yosemite National Park. Just 30 minutes south of the valley floor one milesfrom Glacier Point Road and just 5 miles from Badger Pass ski area and 30 minuites (15 miles) from Glacier Point. You are likely to see wild animals such as coyotes, deer and maybe even an occassional bear looking for a free meal (please do not feed them).

You can hike the nearby nature trails or ski at Badger Pass; the cross-country skiing along Glacier Point Road and the trails to the cliffs are spectacular in the extreme! They are all a short 20 minute ride from the front door, even in winter.

No matter who you spend your vacation, you'll come away with lifelong memories to share with your family and friends.

Cozy Cub

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location about 30 min from Glacier Point and also 30 min from Yosemite Valley. This is not really a basement as other reviews claim, but the middle level of a 3 level home, with the main home being the top floor, Cozy Cub the 2nd level and a basement appears to be at ground level. The steps going down to the 2nd floor of the Cozy Cub are 3 short flights-only 20 or so steps in all which lead to a large private deck with a full size grill and patio table/chairs. While the unit rooms do all have drop ceilings, like a finished basement would, the ceilings are quite high and all the rooms quite spacious. A large window in the eating/kitchen/living area will give you the best views of sunset! We had a better view from here than being in the park! There are lots of board games and DVDs and a new 37" flat screen TV and DVD/VHS player. Direct TV provided more stations than we have at home. The master bedroom has a full patio door leading to the deck. The 2nd bedroom is geared for kids. It has a twin bed and bunk bed that has a full size bed on the bottom. Both were quite comfortable and worked just fine for my boys who are older and are 6 feet tall. The entire unit seemed newer to us. The kitchen had updated appliances, cookware and even some pantry staples like coffee, salt and pepper. The bathroom had new towels, shower curtain and was really nice. We had no issues waiting for hot water. It took a minute because of the heater being on the opposite side of the house, but that is to be expected. Our cellphones worked sketchy at best both here and in the valley, but you are in the mountains, so that was also expected. (There is a land line phone at the unit). I did have to email the owner for directions for arrival prior to leaving on our trip, but they responded quickly. The only thing missing was a way to recycle. We ended up putting all our cans/bottles into grocery bags we had gotten from the store earlier in our trip. Overall, awesome location and the money you'll save vs. staying in the park and avoiding the terrible crowds there is very much worth it!

Don't hesitate to book

  • 4 of 5

Only drawbacks were lack of Wi-Fi and no washer/dryer. Was otherwise as advertised and comfortable. Towels were great!

Only took 30 minutes to get to the valley floor.

Great Location... Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

The Cozy Cub was absolutely perfect for our stay. We loved the location and that we were actually staying in Yosemite National Park. We were less than 30 mins from the Valley Floor. We loved the comforts of home and nature right outside the door. We spent the days I'm Yosemite and spent the sunsets in the deck enjoying the amazing sunsets. We had a bbq and enjoyed the COZY CUB. This our 2nd time staying at CC and we loved it. Thank you for the memories and we hope to be back soon to visit Yosemite and the COZY CUB. Fyi... Bring your own groceries and coffee before entering the park. Thanks again

Access info

  • 1 of 5

This is my second cabin rental in Yosemite. After made all the payment for the cabin, I received a confirmation email from the owner with rental policy, and was also informed that I would be contacted before my trip with access instructions. The day before my trip, I did not received any access info from the owner. I sent the owner two messages asking for it and received no reply. When I looked at the picture of the property again, I spotted the address in the picture and went to the cabin anyway. When we arrived, we saw the phone number on the tree in front of the property but could not call because our phones did not have network. We had to borrow the phone from a near by cabin to call the owner. We reached the voice mail and left a message instead. After waiting for awhile in the rain, my husband had to look for a public phone to call the owner again. Imagine that we had 3 children in the car, a 3, a 5, and an 8 year old whom had been traveling in the car for 8 hours, being exhausted, and had to wait in the rain with us. This trip was supposed to be a relaxing vacation not a stressful vacation. We kept wondering whether we would be able to get into the cabin or would sleep in the car that day. When we finally was able to talk to the owner, there was no sorry or concerns or even asking why we did not have the access info. Look like this owner is only care of getting the money and nothing else. It was an outrageous.

In an excellent place to stay, excellent the cabin, very clean, with all you need

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Cozy Cab. We are a couple and 3 children and had plenty of space for all. Fortunately we could use the barbecue and saw snowing, something that dose not happen where we live.
