About Terri Morrison
A native of New Jersey, family brought me to this area every year as a child. They are some of the fondest memories I have. As an adult, I bought the cabin as a second home. My family enjoyed the cabin for 10 years before wanting to share this hidden gem and welcome others to the Shenandoah Valley.
Terri Morrison purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Terri Morrison chose Shenandoah
It's private and secluded and close to all of the things I want to do in my spare time. I can unplug, unwind and relax. There is nothing better than getting away from all of the concrete and getting back to nature.
What makes this Cabin unique
It feels just like home, cozy and welcoming. The views from the main living are and onto the back deck are wonderful.

Owners were very hospitable and accommodating. If you are looking for a peaceful and scenic surrounding deep within the Shenandoah Mountains I urge you to stay in the beautiful home. Equipped with all the amenities, this home was clean and comfortable. Our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer.
Cozy, Beautiful, Great Location
This place was amazing. I spoke with Mrs. Morrison and she was extremely nice, the house was extremely clean. Had all kinds of games, movies, an beautiful view. The house was well stocked with snacks, cooking spices, cooking utensils. The whole house is in perfect condition. Its in a wonderful location near Luray Caverns, Skyline drive, among much more to do. Firepit was nice to make smores. I want to definitely return had a wonderful time.
Beautiful views and cozy cabin
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the cabin. We were visiting Shenandoah National Park with our 5 month old and our 3 year old. The cabin is located a quick 30 minutes drive from the Swift Run Gap entrance to the park which made it convenient for us as we hiked in the park each day of our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us and we found everything to be very clean, tidy, and comfortable! We were glad there was not any cable TV - but were also glad to have a wide selection of DVDs to watch each night before bed. There were great selections for us and for our 3 year old. The views are absolutely magnificent and we enjoyed dinner and breakfasts on the balcony. We also took advantage of the fire pit, which was perfect for making s'mores - even with a little one. We did hear the train but in no way found it to be unpleasant or to be a bother - it was nice actually! One morning we even heard some cows in the distance. We were unable to utilize the water access because our kids are just too small at this point, but we appreciated the convenience of the river and the availability of the canoe to use. Hopefully we will return one day when the kids are older and take advantage of those amenities!
Wonderful get away!
We had such a wonderful time staying in this cabin. The owner was so helpful and the Home was spotless and cozy. We will definitely be back!
Relaxing get away
Our family stayed here for a few days of R & R. The cabin was quaint, cozy, and a great place to spend some family time. The drive up the mountain was a bit nerve wracking, but the views were awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Ridge Mtns. and the Shenandoah Valley. Thank you for permitting us to bring our dog. He loved being able to come with us.
Best Family Getaway! Comfortable, very clean, quiet, beautiful view!
Our family of four just returned from a 3 night stay at Terri and Carl’s. I can’t say enough how lovely the home is! They met us in person to show us around, and their home is wonderful. I am choosy about where I stay and this fit the bill. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen to cook our meals, went fishing and visited Massanutten water park and skiiing about 25 minutes away. The gravel road going up to their cabin was steep and the kids thought it was very cool but it was no problem. We traveled it at night without difficulty in our pick up. The cabin had a great selection of movies and games we loved. We did not miss regular Tv or having WiFi at all- it was good for us. The cell reception was good for any urgent things we needed but it was great to just unplug here. Cabin was well stocked with towels/linens, even soap and things you wouldn’t expect to see. My kids got their faces a little sunburned skiing and Terri had Aloe Vera in the cabinet! Thank you!!! Beds were comfy with nice soft sheets!
It is very quiet, barely heard the train at all. One night while sitting at their fire pit we DID hear cows! Not something we ever hear in the city. In all, a great time, my kids wanted to stay longer and so did our little pup! We will definitely go back here again.
Thanks so much for your hospitality Terri and Carl! See you next time!
