About Charlotte Collis
I am a 52 year old mum of two "kids" aged 27 and 21. I live with my partner of 24 years and my mother who is the ripe old age of 92 and our cat Pupus. We love travelling and also discovering different areas of London. We have lived in London for nearly 20 years after having lived overseas for 10 years. We love to meet people from all over the world and can speak fluent French and Italian. London has so many lovely things to see and do and we will give you our best recommendations.
Charlotte Collis purchased this Apartment in 1949
Why Charlotte Collis chose Wimbledon
The house has been in my family since the 1950's and I would love to be able to carry on the legacy of my family home by sharing the property with my guests and hope you will spend some lovely days there and have some memories to share when you go home. I love the location of this house. Just a few minutes form the tube and vibrant Wimbledon but also just a few minutes from Wimbledon Village which has a real countryside vibe to it. Wimbledon is such a green part of London and love that it has so many lovely restaurants, pubs and bars and being a bit of a foodie there are some any options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the house is the large garden with all sorts of fruit and you even see squirrels sometimes which always surprises my guests. There is nothing nicer than relaxing on the patio with a drink or having a bbq after a day sightseeing.
What makes this Apartment unique
One of things I like about the house is that although it is bang in the centre of Wimbledon it is very quite. Surprising really but once you are in the property and look out of the garden you would never know that you are in such a central location. I also love the theatre and Wimbledon is quite unique in having a historic theatre which is over 100 years old and has some fantastic West End standard shows.

Firstly, it’s convenient, sensibly priced and a great location.
The welcome pack was a nice touch but felt that should be more about tea and milk which is the kinda thing I personally desire on a late arrival. (Or booze 😂😂)
Getting into the location was like a game of Ninja Warrior UK but we loved it as it was a right mission! But all good, made us smile (I’m sure this wasn’t the intention 😆)
Would stay again.
Hi thanks for taking to time to leave feedback and we are really pleased you liked the location of the studio and felt the studio was good value. Regarding the welcome basket I am glad you found it useful. We did provide tea. There are three large pots by the microwave, one labelled tea, one coffee and one sugar. We have taken on board your feedback about milk and will be adding this to our welcome pack. Unfortunately we are unable to provide alcoholic drinks. We are sorry you found it difficult to get into the studio and were quite surprised as we have had a lot of feedback on how easy the check-in process is There is just a code to open the main entrance gate and a code to open the key safe where the keys to the studio are deposited. I am glad overall you enjoyed our stay and hope to welcome you back soon
Great location, well maintained, very accommodating.
Great experience, clean, nice yard, could not get a better location for the tennis tournament.
Quiet, clean, comfortable
I have stayed here a few times over the last 5 years and always look forward to returning.
I have stayed a number of times as my daughter and her family live nearby. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped. In August/September I like to go to some prom concerts and it is easy to get to the Royal Albert Hall from Wimbledon.
We enjoyed our stay,so close to all shops and transport, nice and clean and everything you require.Found Harry very good if a problem occurred ,would book again.
Great location and great price but very small apartment
My husband, two children (ages 12 and 13), and I stayed in this apartment for four nights when we visited London. The apartment was very conveniently located and was a great base from which to explore London's sites. It was a short walk to the Wimbledon Tube stop and grocery stores and shops. The apartment is a great deal for the price, but it is very small. I knew from other people's reviews that the apartment was small, but it was even smaller than I expected. When the beds were pulled out so that we could sleep, there was very little room to move around. The backyard was very nice with an apple tree and a grill. The grill did look a little rusted, though. The apartment was also very quiet. There was a key code to get access for the property. I recommend this apartment for a family of four that doesn't mind being crowded or for two adults.
A great feature about this lovely studio apartment is its location. It is located on the ground floor of a detached house and has a separate private entrance. The studio is a 2 min walk to the metro (District line) and right in the heart of central Wimbledon, the greenest area of London. A 15 min walk to the world famous Wimbledon Tennis Championships, and 5 min walk to picturesque Wimbledon Village where you feel you are in the country, with horse riding and the 1100 acres of Wimbledon Commons beautiful countryside featuring glorious woodlands and secluded areas full of natural wildlife. Richmond park is nearby which is an area of outstanding beauty. However you are also only 9 miles from central London, 20 min by train and a 1 min walk from a large range of restaurants, bars, pubs, multi screen cinema, theatre, shopping centre and a health club. The apartment's proximity to the subway and its transport links makes it the perfect place to come home.
