About Lilian or Keith Linder

We are a family of four and live in orange county. We bought this vacation property to get away from the grind of city life and enjoy what nature has to offer. Our kids love to run around in the greenbelt, sled, ski, hike, bike,or swim. . Big Bear offers so much to do all year long. After Boating and tubing in the summer or snowboarding in the winter we love to come home and jump in the jacuzzi.

Lilian or Keith Linder purchased this condo in 2011

Why Lilian or Keith Linder chose Big Bear Lake

We love how conveniently located we are. We don't even have to get in the car to do something once we arrive. The onsite pool, tennis, greenbelt and boat dock are awesome! If we are here to ski and we can still leave part of the family home and nobody is bored. Tthe Ski resort is so close and stores and restaurants too. You can shop and eat at the village or walk to the marina to rent a boat.

We have plenty of room and a terrific view! It's really relaxing.

What makes this condo unique

Before we purchased this property we stayed at lake arrowhead and would take a big drive up to ski, but during heavy snow days the road would close or traffic would get so backed up we would just turn around. Now that we are close we just get up and go. The area is safe and quiet so my children can go out and play and I don't have to worry about them. There are several families that come up for the summer regularly and they are all wonderful. We often eat outdoors and just enjoy the view of the lake and greenbelt and the awesome fresh air. The place is spacious enough that we are able to bring up family friends and still have plenty of room.

There are also so many awesome ways to enjoy the lake with paddleboating, kayaking, skiing or wakeboarding there is fun fto be had for the entire family.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice place. Yes it is a little outdated but we like it that way. Overall we had a great time.

My favorite stay at Big Bear

  • 5 of 5

I’ve rented at least a dozen places in Big Bear but this was easily my favorite.

I will be staying here again for sure.

garden view retreat

  • 3 of 5

This unit sits on a green belt overlooking the currently dry part of Lake Big Bear. Many trees and mountain hills to look at. A lovely porch with seating for four under a shady umbrella. A very nice BBQ. In September we found it perfect for lunch, but evening cocktails and dinner had to be indoors...just too cold. Indoors we had two bedrooms upstairs and one

downstairs. The upstairs had one nice bath room which looked updated.

Being built in the 70's we did find fault with the decore which needs updating. Bespreads need to go, the sofa needs to be changed and the dining room table with an oil cloth...well, you decide. The kitchen was nice and beds were comfortable. The outsides of the units were all being repainted during our stay, and a few got new porches. The pool was heated and quite pleasant. A nice tennis court is available, and LOTS of grass. One can walk to the marina where you can rent a boat, get a fishing license, etc.

Shopping is a bit far which we knew from prior stays at Bayshore where we used to own a unit way back in the 80s. Stop at Vons or Strater on the east side of town and you can get everything you need

Biggest surprise is downtown. The Village of Big Bear has been upgraded and is a very nice place to stroll and dine. Dozens of shops and dining and drinking spots becon you to stay. Parking is plentiful,

Our grand kids LOVED the Alpine Slide, and also a drive around the lake

and visit to the visitors center on the north shore.

It was great. The condo was perfect for my lil family trip. I was able to cook and keep my infant comfortable indoors while daddy and sisters went kayaking and zip lining. I would highly recommend this home.

All the comforts of home

Our family had a wonderful time. This condo is great: very clean, well stocked, great location, & the kids loved all the grass in the 'big backyard' Our stay could not have been better!

Map

The big bear area is fun both during the winter ski season and in the summer. During the winter you can go tubing at the nearby mountain slide that makes snow even if the weather doesn't cooperate. There are plenty of great restaurants and ski rental shops nearby. Waking up to a snow covered greenbelt with snow along the evergreens is really magical! For snowboarding Bear Mountain terrain park is fun and Snow summit and or Snow Valley are more family oriented. At snow valley you can buy a lift ticket to the snowplay area where you ride up a small lift and sled down. During the summer there is a fun water slide just down the street, or you can go hiking, or biking or swimming. There are standup paddleboats, bubble boats jetski or kayak rentals. Even wakeboarding lessons. There are several golf courses to choose from.Big Bear even offers horseback riding, but this is really only a walking tour. For more extreme type fun there is a local zip line tour nearby. There are many live music venues including the Discovery Center off of the North shore or several local restaurants.
