About Laura Bois
I retired to Whidbey Island - Coupeville in 2004 after 27 years as an accountant for the State of California. In June 2005 my boyfriend purchased the Coupeville Inn and I helped him restore and upgrade the Inn. I am still active in the workings of the hospitality business. I also have a Vintage Jewelry and Collectible business at the Inn
Laura Bois purchased this House in 2007
Why Laura Bois chose Coupeville
We settled in this area due to the wonderful boating in Puget Sound. We also enjoy hiking, crabbing, canning the wonderful local blackberries, antiquing , dining out and visiting the wonderful people on Whidbey.
What makes this House unique
I fell in love with this home the minute I stepped over the threshold. The open feeling with the cozy bedrooms were perfect for me. The backyard is private with a wonderful covered deck and hot tub perfect for quiet time but also a great layout for a fun group gathering.

This home was so cozy and well equipped! The owner went out of her way to make it a special place.
It was absolutely fabulous!
We couldn't have been happier and honestly the pictures did not do it justice
Over all we couldn't have asked for anything better. This was my first time using homeaway and was very happy with it. We had friends staying at other places for a wedding and they all ended up coming back to this house for breakfast as well enjoy the amazing amenities it had. If we come back out there I would def stay there again.
Very nice and well appointed home was perfect for our family!
This home was very nicely decorated and had all the comforts of a home (not just someone decorating at a minimum. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were all very comfy! The house is in a delightful location, just blocks from downtown! We saw so many deer wandering around the neighborhood! The hot tub was clean and the backyard was private and beautiful!
Super comfortable: highly recommended
We couldn't have expected more. The home is spotless, very spacious, warm and comfortable. Laura is absolutely on top of communication and great to work with. The kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms also, and the enclosed back yard is very private. The location is in town and within walking distant of the waterfront. All in all the property is at least as nice as indicated on the web site...maybe even nicer. Thanks Laura. I hope we can return again and again!
The house is nicely laid-out with lots of thoughtful amenities and is very clean. It's clear that the owner wants to make sure guests are comfortable. We loved the openness of the space for young kiddos to play, and because the house is a rambler, we didn't have to worry about kids wondering up and down the stairs. The backyard is great for outdoor dining and relaxing, and the hot tub is a nice bonus. If you decide to stay, be sure to consider if folks in your group prefer firm or soft mattresses. The master has a firm mattress, while one of the other bedrooms has a soft mattress. The location was perfect as well, being so close to downtown and the beach (4 minute drive or 15 minute walk). Watch out for the adorable deers!
We enjoyed our stay at this charming property in Coupeville. The place was spotless and well decorated. It felt like being home! My wife and myself, along with our three adult children and one daughter-in-law had a great time celebrating three March birthdays. We were greeted by several local deer in the front yard when we arrived. The area was quiet and within easy walking distance of Old Town and the nice shops and dining establishments. I highly recommend this property for comfort and privacy, as well as being a short drive from Oak Harbor and Deception Pass State Park (as well as other State Parks on the island). Only minor drawbacks were that the family room TV was too small and not being able to utilize the hot tub. After all, it is the northwest! Other than that, this place is a gem! We will return in the future.
