Guestbook comments from the manager

Great cabin, great host! I highly recommend this place.

From the start, Alicia was extremely accommodating and encouraged us to call her if we needed anything. The actual cabin was great- it was big (huge) and comfortable, and was the perfect place to come home to after hiking all day. We were worried there would be loud party cabins around (since it was the 4th), but it was quiet and peaceful. This is a small thing- but I loved that all the dinnerware was matching, rather than the usual chipped potpourri of strange plates and mismatched mugs you find at other cabin rentals. It showed there was a level of care to this place that isn't always typical of cabin rentals.

Also, they had a sweet gas grill I regret not using, but by the time we got back to the cabin everyday we were beat.

I have to give Alicia an extra thank you and wish I could give her 5 stars too. She was amazing. The day of check out, I got the car and my dog all packed up at checkout time, only to find out I couldn't start my car (the battery for my keyless had died). I texted her to let her know I was checked out but sitting in her driveway, desperately trying to find a solution to my key problem. She drove over, with out my asking, to see if there was anything she could do to help, and without hesitation she drove me and my dog to where my husband was rock-climbing to grab his working key. She was so understanding and cool about it, and didn't seem to be put out in the slightest- I really appreciated that since I would have felt put out in her place. She genuinely loves her job, so she's good at it.

She also had great tips (eat at Donner Pass Pizza), knew all the rock climbing areas, and was generally just as helpful as she could be. Thank you, Alicia! You were a lifesaver!

We will definitely be back!

Great cabin for a large family

  • 5 of 5

We were three families with multiple kids looking for a vrbo to take the kids skiing. This cabin more than met our needs - spacious, lots of room for the kids to play, warm and cozy. The kids had a great time. The cabin is stocked with winter jackets, ski equipment which was available for us to use. Will definitely consider this place again for next winter.

A Must Rent! Perfect location, Clean Cabin, Excellent Amenities, Kid Freindly, Responsive Owner.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay and we will definitely be renting again! I am so thankful we found this cabin to rent and at a very reasonably rate. We rented the cabin from April 6, through April 10, (4 nights). The owner Alicia was really nice and very responsive. She answered all my questions and the cabin information form that she sent me once I booked had everything I needed to know about the cabin, travel direction, rules of house and departure information. She also has a copy of it on the refrigerator in the cabin, which was helpful.

The cabin looks just like the photos on the rental site, and has all it says it has; It’s so nice, spacious and very clean. The décor for the cabin is perfect for a cabin.

We had 6 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room. The 4 bedrooms were all nice and cozy with plenty of blankets, pillows but one of the rooms was great for the kids as it was set up with two twin beds, one full bed and a pull out sofa. The room has lots of toys, video games, movies, air hockey and more. Kids loved it! The kids had their time and the adults had their time downstairs, enjoying board games, cards and movies.

The living room was cozy, spacious and kid friendly. I have a 3 year old grandson and there was nothing he could get into or wanted to get into. We all loved the fireplace, it really warmed up the house and there was plenty of wood and fire starters. It made the house so warm and cozy.

The weather was a bit rough two days of our stay, but we didn’t care! We didn’t have to drive anywhere, we had our own snow park in the back of the house. We had so much fun, sledding and building snowmen. The kids had a blast and so did the adults.

We did head out to Truckee on Saturday which was a beautiful drive and downtown Truckee is such a cute town.

I’ve been trying to think if there is anything I would change or if there was anything that was missing in the cabin, and no my family and I do not have one complaint or thing we would change. It was perfect!

Alicia, we will be renting again very soon and you should be receiving a few booking referrals. My friends saw my FB post and are interested in renting the cabin now.

Thank you for allowing my family and I to rent your beautiful cabin and make new memories!

Thank you again!

D

Great house, excellent amenities

  • 5 of 5

The house is spacious with plenty of room for 8 people and 4 kids. There were also plenty of games and toys around the house to entertain everyone. The kitchen was decent and bathrooms were adequate. There were extra ski clothes to borrow, which was a plus for kids who are constantly outgrowing their clothes. The best part was that the management was very responsive to our questions. From helping us change a lightbulb to lighting the fireplace, their response was always prompt and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Friendly, Clean, Fun

  • 5 of 5

Friendly owner and very responsive. The place is clean and lots of toys for the kids. However, the place didn't have enough plates, dishes, etc for 14 people. Also, a bit small for 14. We were glad to find it however, since there are not many places that can host so many people.

Awesome

  • 5 of 5

The property was amazing! the youth had a great time and enjoyed the cabin. The only thing I would change is to have the address numbers clearly posted, it was difficult to find at 11pm when we arrived. Other than that it was a great stay! Thank you so much.

Fantastic cabin, especially if you have children!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a good time at this cabin and will definitely rent again! We love the neighborhood and there is excellent sledding right down the street. The setup was great for the kids to have their own space while the adults could watch a movie. The bedrooms are really quiet, the fireplace was easy to use, everything was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. If that is not enough, there are so many games and movies to use so you don't have to bring a bunch of things up. And best of all... Alicia, was amazing! She took very good care of us!
