About Margie Juszczak
In 1999 after 17 years in Manhattan, I moved to Woodstock because of the breath-taking beautiful of the region. I was inspired by a dream and commitment to create healing and uplifting environments that are encourage rest, relaxation and rejuvenation of the mind, body and spirit. In 2004, I created River Rock Health Spa in Woodstock. River Rock has won awards nine straight years, “Best of the Hudson Valley, from Hudson Valley Magazine. In 2008 I renovated one of the two cottages on my residential property to become a vacation rental. We've had such lovely and happy guest (with 26 excellent reviews on HomeAway) that I've now renovated the second cottage for vacationers to enjoy.
Margie Juszczak purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why Margie Juszczak chose Woodstock
My property, Little Sacred Streams" is located on the south side of Ohayo Mountain overlooking the Ashokan Reservoir and surrounding Catskill Mountains. According to Alf Evers, the well-known and much loved Woodstock historian, “Ohayo” means “Sacred Streams” in the language of the Native American people who first lived here. In honor of the Native American tradition, I named this property “Little Sacred Streams”. I consider myself the steward of this beautiful piece of the mountainside, which includes rock formations, evergreen and deciduous trees, wildlife and views of the lake and valley below.

Cute cabin with wonderful hosts
We loved every minute that we stayed at the Dancing Angel! Our hosts were so nice including offering us supplies from their home to make our stay easier. Would go back in a heartbeat
We had a great stay at the lovely dancing angels cottage. Babs was a wonderful hostess and made us and our dog feel very welcome.
Perfect long weekend stay
This turned out to be the perfect answer for an extended Labour Day weekend out of NYC. The property is pretty much as it appears, Babs and Robert (the owners; Margie manages the online bookings) were warm and welcoming; and the rural location indeed a short drive into Woodstock town. As a bonus, Babs provided a baby gate so our small dog could bask in the sunlight on the balcony in safety. Excellent big bed is on the firm side (which we definitely liked). Did I mention how quiet it was? Just want we were looking for. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Nice place with a great view!
The cottage was lovely for a weekend away. The location is great and the view is very nice. The bed was very comfortable as well. Would definitely recommend for a getaway in Woodstock.
One thing to note is that the kitchen is more of a kitchenette - small fridge and small 2 burner stove. We went out to dinner, so it was fine, but if you're looking to cook a big meal, it might be tough to do. The other thing is that the cottage is right next to the main house, so if you're looking for total privacy on the deck, there's a chance the owners will pass by.
Peace and Quiet... Just what we needed!!
My husband and I, along with our dog just returned from a relaxing 3-night stay at Dancing Angel.
The cottage is clean, fully equipped in the kitchen and bathroom, the bed is comfortable and the deck is wonderful for watching sunsets over the reservoir and grilling. It was too warm for the fireplace, maybe our next visit will be during a colder month.
Location is just over the hill from Woodstock, which was also a lovely experience. The cottage is blissfully quiet with only the sounds of nature surrounding you.
We booked last minute and received a prompt reply, were greeted upon arrival and departure and we cannot think of a single negative thing to say about our stay at Dancing Angel.
Cozy and perfect
For travelers who need one bedroom/one bath, this small, but charming cottage is perfect and pet friendly! It's about a 7 minute drive into the heart of Woodstock, yet far enough away if you want to leave the tourists behind and just relax. Kenneth Wilson Lake State Park is just up the road for those who enjoy hiking, canoeing and fishing in a pristine lake. The cottage is equipped with all basic needs, and has wifi. The owner is a joy-and spirit- filled person who will respect your privacy or engage in conversation - it's up to the guests! This is a rustic, warm and welcoming space.
