We are a Texas family who can't get enough of the mountains. We began as winter skiers and now equally enjoy the incredible summers, especially when the Gulf Coast heat and humidity are in full swing.
Grand Concierge purchased this townhome in 2011
We began our search for a place that our grown children would enjoy coming to visit (and hopefully bring grandchildren one day). We knew it needed to be in the mountains, near winter and summer sports, but also knew that we did not want a commercialized, theme built resort area. Winter Park filled all of those boxes - very much a 'local' family oriented town.
From the moment you walk in the door and see the view ahead, you will understand why we fell in love with this home. Then there is the deck with grill, terrace with hot tub, fireplace that is on with the flip of a switch, master bath with steam shower....the list is endless. To top is off, you are very secluded in a wonderful community (just 9 other homes), just steps from the Winter Park shuttle
Wow! What an amazing property. Best VRBO rental we have experienced! This home lived up to everything advertised and more! The kitchen is so well stocked we only ate out once in six nights! Enjoyed the crock pot! Meals were started before heading out to ski and we came home to a warm meals! Loved the views, hot tub, spacious bed and bath rooms, fire place, and heated garage! The location was so close to Winter Park ! We chose to drive each day to the park rather than take shuttle. Management was spot on the advice given. We used Epic Mountain for ski rental and it was so easy and close to the house. Bedding was comfortable and there were plenty of towels! Can't say enough about this house! It was our first home away Christmas with our adult children but we felt right at home! Thanks for sharing this amazing home in the mountains! Maybe we will return sometime in the summer!
This house is amazing. Fit our family and friends perfectly. Everything seemed to be well thought out for our needs. We loved the steam shower and hot tub. The view out the large living room and kitchen window was breath taking. We will be coming back here to stay again. The property managers were great to work with as well. Thank you for a trip we won't forget.
The property itself is very nice, and a great location. I have no complaints with it at all. There were a couple of issues with the property when we arrived that are more at fault with the property management company not checking that things were fully functional than anything with the property itself. There was no functioning hot water. The property management company did respond very quickly to this and got a plumber out to fix the issue that day, so that was very good and I was satisfied with the response. The trash can in the garage was full of trash, so I had to dispose of the old trash when I arrived. I also need to screw on the retaining strap to the hot tub to keep the lid in place when it is open - a very minor repair, but noting that it was broken when I arrived. Another minor oversight was the lack of extra garbage bags in the property for the kitchen trash can. There were lots of supplies for other things, but I was surprised that they were lacking this. None of this would keep me from returning to the property but I do feel this was a little careless on the part of the property management company. Perhaps this is just because this is an off-season rental during the summer.
This is our second time staying at the lodge and it was great once again. I only have positive things to say about the lodge and the caretakers were easy to get ahold of if we had a question. They were willing to help with anything.
The townhouse was beautiful with a great view of the mountains. The accommodations were very comfortable. The location is close to many towns with easy access to several hiking trails. The owners were very gracious to share their amazing home with us. We would definitely return.
