About the owner: Rosemary and Jean Michel are delighted to welcome you to their abode. Rosemary is Australian and has been living the French dream since 1975 and Jean Michel was born and raised in the Loire Valley in a converted windmill on top of a hill near Saumur. Our favourite pastimes are cycling, mushroom picking, walking, wine tasting, gardening and travelling and the house reflects these tastes.
Why the Owner Chose Blois, France:
We were looking for a retirement home in a location not far from Paris with a dynamic cultural and social life that would be attractive to both French and overseas visitors. We also wanted bike routes, a State forest for mushrooming, a river to fish in and vineyards to explore. The Loire Valley was a natural choice and a 400 year-old Renaissance house with all its wonderful history was the perfect solution.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We both fell in love with the house immediately. We loved its authentic features, its lovely garden, the wood behind, the many rooms, each with its own history.
