Wonderful Brick House With Terrific Font Porch & Large Back Deck
This home is a gem that's close to the city but not too close. 15 minutes to convention center.
We have a large fenced in backyard and a great front porch. All the furniture is brand new and the house is in terrific shape while still maintaining it's original character.
Historic Irvington is awesome and our home is close to the park & perfect for a nice run or a fun family gathering. So if your are in town for a convention or looking for a family getaway or reunion, this is the perfect Indianapolis spot.

About Chris Baggott
We own a sustainable farm east of Indianapolis called Tyner Pond Farm (www.TynerPondFarm.com) Part of that operation is our farmhouse where we have enjoyed guests from all over the world. http://www.tynerpondfarm.com/pages/rent-the-farmhouse We also have a couple of restaurants and are in the processing of opening a farm store and restaurant in Irvington. We saw this house and new it was perfect for out of town folks and families looking for accommodations for business or sports, or just to be together visiting family.
Chris Baggott purchased this House in 2016
Why Chris Baggott chose Irvington
Our house is one one of the nicest streets in all of Indianpolis. Located only minutes from downtown, it's an oasis resting on a wide quiet parkway with nothing but trees and Pleasant Run in front. I've been driving down this street for years and as soon as I saw the sign go up we made an offer.
What makes this House unique
We acquired this house specifically to be a guest house so it's got all brand new everything, from furniture to silverware. Nothing handed down or second class here. The location is perfect for an easy drive or Uber into the city and within walking distance to one of Indy's finest parks and the cool spots of Irvington including the City's Best Pizza (Jackamo's) One of the best breweries (Black Acre) and Coming soon....The Mug www.TheMug.com Ellenberger Park is also less that a two minute walk and features picnic areas, open fields, swing sets and a public pool. It's perfect for relaxing and being with family, or for a nice run without having to worry about traffic.

Clean and safe
Very nice and clean house.
My husband grew up in Irvington so it was a treat for him to see all of the familiar sites and scenery. Same for me and our kids when we took a spin by Grandma and Grandpa’s old house and the church on the circle. My husband even remembers being in this house in 1971 - crazy. Love the comfort and convenience. We travel to Indy every year for Christmas and this made our trip down here feel less like travel and more like coming home.
Historical Gem in Irvington
Our two families stayed at this lovely home in a quaint historic neighborhood of Irvington in Indianapolis. We came for a swim meet and wanted to have a place to crash between sessions and we found a GEM. We had a quick 10-15 min commute into the Natatorium on the IUPUI campus daily, with a return trip every evening. We had minimal traffic issues other than the construction and/or occasional crazy driving.
The home matched the pictures exactly! The only thing you cannot see is what you hear when you walk on 100 year old wooden floors. I loved the creaking of the wood, as it reminded me of my childhood. However, in the middle of the night it is loud when you are trying to quietly walk to the bathroom!
The perks of this home are 1) the washer/dryer. 2) a gas grill. 3) a large dining area (seats 8 but we could get 10) for meals and games/cards. 4) updated appliances in the kitchen to cook and clean up with. 5) all pots, pans, dishes, appliances (including a Keurig), towels, hand and dish soap, paper towels, etc. were provided. Pretty much bring your clothes and food you want and you are ready to go.
The few things that the house could benefit from are mostly in the only full sized bathroom. For our situation (having two families sharing one full-sized bathroom) we could have really used 1) more hanging hooks or even bars in the bathroom 2) a shower bar that holds the shower curtain closed. and 3) a venting fan (we did open the only window, however this would expose you to anyone who wanted a view).
We had a hiccup with the half bath door but we contacted the owner and they came immediately to fix.
All in all this was a great place to stay in Indianapolis.
Thank you for this review. We loved hosting you! Installed a new shower curtain rod and added hooks as soon as you checked out 😊
See you next year!
Get what you see
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the house and it looked exactly like it was in the pictures. Owners responses were quick and friendly to any questions or concerns. Park in the neighborhood made for some great hangout time. 1 full bathroom worked with 5 females based on am and pm shower schedule. Neighbors were pleasant and friendly. No curtains on first floor made for a bit uncomfortable feeling with all females in the house.
Felt like home
We were very pleased with our stay. The house was very comfortable and felt like home. We loved the fact the the house was so close to downtown and all the Indianapolis sites.
Great house and convenient location for stadium and convention centre
This house was just perfect! We enjoyed it very much. The beds were very comfortable and the decorations were on point! Made it feel like I never left home. If your planning on staying here for a game at Lucas oil stadium or in town for a convention I would recommend this house. The drive was 10 - 15 min away depending on the time of day and a direct easy route to get there. We stayed with teammates and it made for great meals and conversations. The house had everything we needed for meals and have the BBQ was awesome.
Close to Downtown but located in Historic Irvington Neighborhood. Close to Ellenberger Park and local brewery, pizza, breakfast and Starbucks.
