Exceeded expectations!

  • 5 of 5

The photos of this property do not do it justice! We were blown away with the beauty and cleanliness of this home! Updated large kitchen, 3 indoor showers and one outdoor shower, beautiful bedrooms with closet space! And it's a very short walk from the beach and restaurants! The backyard was perfect for playing bean bag toss and the large porches were perfect for relaxing with an evening cocktail. There is ample shaded parking and the street is quiet and lovely. Not to mention the pleasant, helpful owners! This was our first stay in Cape May, and we really didn't know what we were missing. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. If you need a large house in Cape May- do not pass this one up!

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful in its simplicity, quite comfortable, and most importantly - spotless! The kitchen is great to cook and eat in (loved the high-end appliances). The bathrooms are all also impressively done. The seating nook on the second floor is a great bonus for relaxing away from the main living area. The bedrooms are again simple and airy; one of the bedrooms on the second floor doesn't have a closet though and a very small dresser so it was not ideal in that we had to share the closest and keep a lot of our clothes in the suitcase. As for the yard, we spent a lot of time on the front porch. And the walk to the beach was not a huge problem for us and toddler. The walk to town was so pleasant in the evenings (although a bit far for hot mid-day walking). You will not be disapointed staying here!

Great beach vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a week in July and this was our second time. The owners were great to work with. The house is spotless and well maintained. They provide soap and toilet paper - what a nice surprise! We loved the front porch and gathering around the dining room table. The street is quiet and we didn't have any issues with parking. It's a very comfortable home. Unfortunately, our family is growing and we won't be able to fit next year.

Wonderful Cape May house!

  • 5 of 5

We had such an enjoyable stay, what a beautiful house in Cape May! It was everything we needed and would love to come back next year for our annual Girls Weekend. We met the owner John at check in, and really appreciated the time he took to explain the home, its history and many charms. The house was beautiful, spotless and restored/decorated with care. It's in a great location - a very quiet street that is 2 blocks from the beach and within walking distance to Cape May's outdoor mall, shops and restaurants. We prepared many meals and snacks and never had to do without - the kitchen was well stocked and roomy for 6 chefs and we grilled outside as well. The 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms gave us all our own space if needed. Even with one day of bad weather, we had the best time reconnecting in this cozy house. Thank you John and Barbara for allowing us to enjoy your home and create another great batch of memories!

Great House in a Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

This house is a fantastic vacation rental. It's located on a quiet residential block with a great front porch where we ate most meals and spent a majority of our time in the evenings. It's two blocks or so to a great beach with life guards. Our two year olds had no problem doing the walk both ways twice a day. You're also less than a mile to downtown cape may where they have family restaurants and fine dining. The house is spacious with its five bedrooms - we liked having the kids on the third floor where it was quieter for them to sleep at night. Overall the pictures are spot on - the house is very clean, clear of the clutter you have in some rentals and well-equipped as far as the kitchen goes. The gas grill was great as well and we loved the outdoor shower to wash off every day after the beach. Additionally and equally important, the owners were very nice and professional to deal with. They were responsive to our initial inquiries and very accommodating upon our arrival. We plan to go back again next year and enjoy this great home and beach town.

Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

We made our first trip to Cape May this summer and rented this beautiful home. We have four teenage/young adult children who had each invited a friend to come along. The house was big enough for all 10 of us to fit without getting in each others way. We all fit around the nice big table in the dining room and were able to enjoy many meals together. The kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation. The front porch became our gathering spot and we spent many hours enjoying the quiet street. Even though the street was nice and quiet, it was an easy walk to the beach or down into town. We rented bikes and were able to store them in the shed in the back yard. Once we arrived and made a trip to the grocery store, we didn't use the cars again until it was time to go home. We enjoyed the beach and the quaint town of Cape May. It really was a lovely and relaxing week!
