The ground floor of Villa Tranquila is spacious and airy with a large, impressive living area connected with a dining area via a Mallorcan arch, and a separate fully-equipped kitchen adjoining the dining area. French doors lead onto a delightful cobble stone terrace, which has a further outdoor dining area under cover of a large awning. This lovely private terrace overlooks the garden and has comfortable chairs for relaxing and enjoying the garden view.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms - 1 master double with 4-poster bed and 1 twin bedded children's room. Both have french doors leading onto the terrace & both use the same large family bathroom.

This is a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all, and yet everything you need is just on your doorstep.

Villa Tranquila

Villa Tranquila is in the sleepy village of Genova just outside Palma. It is set in idyllic tranquil gardens. There is a 10mx5m swimming pool surrounded by lots of terrace space and relaxing areas with chairs, tables & sun-beds. It is ideally situated, with something for everyone within easy access. There are numerous beaches close by, old town Palma with fabulous shopping, culture and vibrant nightlife is just 5 mins drive (or bus ride!) away; there are 2-3 golf courses within 3 km, and the rest of the island with all it has to offer is easily accessible.

Genova is famous for its restaurants with more than 15 to choose from, all within easy strolling distance.

Please note the pool, gardens are shared with the occupants of 1 other apartment in the villa. The roof terrace is exclusively for the 1st floor; the terrace immediately outside the ground floor is exclusively for use by the ground floor. The rest of the extensive gardens are shared.

Although there are plenty of restaurants in the village (famous for its Mallorcan cuisine), there are also a plethora of sophisticated and trendy bars, restaurants, clubs and shows in Palma. There are beaches, water sports, water parks, tennis courts, golf courses, boating and horse riding facilities nearby.

This lovely villa is an “old traditional-style Finca” that has been sympathetically renovated to retain its traditional Mallorcan charm but to also create on the first floor, a bright, airy, fresh space that has been tastefully decorated with an attractive combination of contemporary and antique furniture. The ground floor is shadier and cooler with thick stone walls & original floor tiles, which is ideal for the hot summer months. Most of the ground floor rooms have French doors leading directly onto a cobbled terrace with a covering dining area, and comfortable garden chairs to enjoy the gardens.

Please note the pool and gardens are shared with the occupants of the other apartment in the villa. The roof terrace is exclusively for the first floor; the ground floor terrace is exclusively for the use of the ground floor apartment.

Please also note that the property is available for rent all year round - its location just outside Palma with easy access to the rest of the island, makes it an ideal base for winter sun holidays.

Casa Tranquila is away from the noise and Hubbub of being in a seaside resort where the noise at night from party goers, bars and clubs can be intrusive. It is located very close to Palma City centre, but is in the countryside on the edge of a small village with some of the island's best restraurants in walking distance. Beaches and the sea are within 5 minutes driving distance.

Notes:
This apartment forms the ground floor of a large villa, and has its own private terrace (with covered dining area) in front of the house overlooking the gardens. The pool, garden and grounds are private but they are shared with the occupants of the first floor apartment. However, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their privacy and peace! Air conditioning is available at an additional weekly charge of 80 euros per week.

Wonderful stay- we will be back!

We have nothing but great things to stay about this place and the owner Tim. The downstairs apartment is lovely and private, the garden is beautiful, the swimming pool perfect, Tim's hospitality and recommendations for restaurants/ areas to visit was brilliant! We had a wonderful relaxing time, with the option of a quick drive into Palma when we could tear ourselves away from this lovely place. In short, we will be back as soon as we can! Thanks Tim X

Appartement Villa in Genova

Recently we stayed in Villa Tranquila and we had a wonderfull stay. This year we rented three houses at mallorca and we liked this one best.

Tim, our host gave us golden tips.We rented a car and discoverd the area. The appartement is very charming and beautifull decorated. We loved the table outside where we spent a lot of time.The garden is perfect and the pool clean and cool. The only minus is the no airconditioning in the master bedroom. We experienced the room as warm but it was high season and a peak tempature. The living and other bedroom offer aircondtioning.

I certainly recommand the appartment and we hope to come back .

In the town, yet in the country and with sea views

What surprised and delighted me about this villa is that it is close to the centre of Genova with its shops and fine restaurants yet, because the town is set up on a hill and a tongue of countryside penetrates the town right up to the villa's gardens, you feel as if you're in the country... and you have views of the sea. It really is the best of all worlds... and with ample parking on its forecourt.

The villa itself is beautifully designed inside, well cared for and has the feel of a boutique hotel.

The villa gardens seem to go on for ever. A walk through them reveals a quiet nook, furnished with table and chairs, at every turn. The pool lies at the end where the children can play boisterously well away from the tranquility of the covered terrace overhung as it is with lemons, some the size of a grapefruit.

Es Mussol, a nearby restaurant, is certainly worth a visit with its wonderful roof terrace and the owner's charming service. And Palma is a short Vespa ride away - I got to El Corte Ingles in the centre in under 15 minutes, parked outside for free, and returned with a new suitcase, full of shopping, between my feet!

This lovely villa is perfectly located for those looking for peace and quiet, but also wanting to be close to local facilities and Majorca's many tourist attractions.

It is situated in the centre of Genova, a charming, quiet village just 4 kms outside the beautiful city of Palma de Mallorca. It is close to the sea, numerous stunning beaches, water sports, golf, tennis, hiking, night life, chic shopping and the cultural highlights of historic Palma. It offers easy access to the whole of the rest of the island, the furthest parts of which can be reached within approximately one hour by car.

The village of Genova is famous for its restaurants - and particularly restaurants specialising in Mallorcan cuisine - so excellent local delicacies are just a few minutes walk away. The village also has a couple of cafes, a bakery, a few small food shops, and a hardware store.

Although a car is recommended to get the best out of the whole island, it is not absolutely necessary if you don't want to go very far afield. The village is on a good bus route between Palma and the coast, and taxis are easily obtained. Chic Puerto Portals Marina and shopping is a few kilometers away, as are Marineland and the water parks.
