Welcome to my beautiful mountain dream home! You will enjoy your stay in Steamboat Springs in my spacious and comfortable 2-bedroom / 2 bathroom townhome. Two decks surrounded by lovely trees will make you feel at home in the mountains, while still being very close to all the action. The base of the mountain and gondola are just 3/4 mile away, and the free local bus stops just behind the house to whisk you away to the mountain for a day on the slopes or downtown for an evening on the town.
On the 1st level you'll find a heated one-car garage, the guest bedroom with full-sized bunk beds, bathroom and laundry room. The guest bedroom and entryway open out to your very own private deck.
Upstairs you'll find an open floor plan with the living and dining area with gas fireplace, all open to the kitchen, and with access to the 2nd story private deck. On the front deck is the 6-person private hot tub. The master bedroom has a queen bed, walk-in closet, additional access to the private deck, and full bathroom.
Hi! I'm Amy, and welcome to my beautiful home in Steamboat Springs, CO. I'm originally from the Philadelphia area, and spent a few years in New York City and am now currently living in Portland, Oregon for work. I work for a company that builds wind farms, and, which I love. I've been snowboarding since I was 15, and just started skiing last year which I'm beginning to like just as much. My whole family skis and snowboards, and we love going on ski vacations as a family! I was originally attracted to Steamboat for the skiing but then I visited in the summer and realized I liked it even then more, because the hiking, mountain and road biking are just as fun!
Amy McGinty purchased this townhome in 2011
My family still lives in the Philly area, and we love to get together for ski trips every year. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to buy a mountain home and when we visited Steamboat Springs for the first time back in 2006, I knew that this was the place it should be. It took a little while to save up my money and find the right home, but I am thrilled with what I found, and I hope you are too!
I first visited the townhomes in Saddle Creek back in 2007 and knew I wanted to buy a home there. I love the private decks on both levels, and the fact that the end unit is surrounded by trees which makes it seem really private even though it is so close to the mountain.
Fun fact about the furniture in the townhome..... my dad and I built the bunk beds downstairs and the master bed upstairs all by hand! Every time we visit together we plan to build a new addition to the handmade furniture collection!
Had a wonderful Christmas at Amy's place in Steamboat! The place is spacious and luxurious, with a private hot tub and heated garage! Also very close to the bus stop. Only upgrade I would consider would be to the TV situation, but then again most of the time is spent on the slopes anyway!
I really loved staying at this place! The entire place is nicely decorated and well appointed. Quiet location. Spacious kitchen, gas grill, hot tub, laundry facilities, nice beds. The townhouse is conveniently located to the free bus and the Yampa River Trail. I often rode my bicycle into town or to nearby restaurants with no problems. Owner extremely responsive and easy to work with.
Our family of four spent a week at this property the last week of December. The accomodations were exceptional! The townhouse was very clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed to feel like we were at home! The shuttle bus also worked out nicely for us to get to the ski hill every morning. The shuttle stop is literally less than half a block walk. The condo owner, Amy, was very easy to work with. She checked in on us via text to make sure we got into the condo ok and that everything was ok for us. She was quick in getting our deposit back to us as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this vacation condo to anyone. We really liked Steamboat. The people in town and at the resort were very friendly. We'd like to come back in the future! Overall, GREAT stay!!!!
Amy's house is beautiful and was absolutely perfect for my 2 month stay during my grad school internship in steamboat springs. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessary cooking utensils, grill on the deck and plenty of room to spread out and study. It was a fantastic place to spend 2 months, let alone being in Steamboat. The condo is right off the bus stop and a short drive to town from the base of the mountain. If I am ever back in Steamboat I will be back at this condo for sure!
What I liked:
-nice condo, updated, comfortable beds.
-bedrooms on different floors
-convient to town and mountain
-comfortable couch, gas fireplace, nicer notices in kitchen
The only thing I didn't like was that you can see from the couch through the fireplace into the master. It wasn't a big deal on a guy's trip but I might want more privacy if I was their with another couple.
This condo was perfect for our girls weekend! It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the hot tub was wonderful! Being right on the bus line was great, super easy access to the mountain and downtown.
Just 3/4 mile to the base of the mountain, with the free local bus just steps outside the door.
Another favorite spot for my family and I to go every time we visit is Strawberry Park Hot Springs. 20 minutes away by car (4-wheel drive required in winter!), these lovely hot springs are a little slice of heaven in a beautiful and natural environment. A great place to visit after a hard day on the slopes or hike in the woods, or to just chill out and relax anytime!
