|Space||1,560 sq. ft.|
|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
A villa of striking beauty whose 145 m2 can host up to 8 guests.
There is a unified ground floor with a large open plan living room with comfortable sofas set out around the fireplace, an elegant dining area and a very well equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The 4 bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 twins) and the 2 bathrooms are spread in 2 levels offering the benefit of independence even within the family or within the group of friends who stays in the villa.
The villa has a large garden on various terraced levels with stone walls and stone steps. The swimming pool is large (40sqm) and is beautifully designed with teak loungers and umbrellas set out on its terrace. From the pool and large outdoor dining area, you can spend hours gazing the green hillsides of the bay of Sivota and the yachts as they glide past.
Wooden roofs, exquisite decorative artefacts and works of art and unlimited view to the sea, create a charming, peaceful and luxurious setting for your holidays.
At the south part of Lefkada island, 30 km from the city, built at the deepest recess of a bay, Sivota fishing village charms all the visitors. When the small marina is full, the sailing boats moor “arodo” (means off-shore), creating a magnificent scenery.
Inside an olive field, at the edge of the village, in front of the small beach, we created “ARODO | SEASIDE VILLAS”: A independent, luxury villa with private pool. There are excellent views across to the bay of Sivota and as all amenities are within 100m car hire is not necessary.
The villa has been recently completed to very high standards.
“Arodo” offers crystal blue waters, unspoilt nature, calmness, comforts and luxury. A peaceful shelter for unforgettable holidays.
My husband and I are civil engineers. We come from Lefkas, Ionian Islands and we live in Athens. We have always wanted a beautiful holiday house at our hometown. So, we built “ARODO | SEASIDE VILLAS”. We named the villas after our daughters Christina and Penelope - in the meantime we have one more daughter, Vasiliki, but no other villa. We are proud to have used a lot of our energy, personal taste and technical knowlegde in completing “ARODO | SEASIDE VILLAS”.
We are very positive that our guests enjoy our villas as much as we do every summer.
Maria purchased this villa in 1985
The land was passed down through our parents and we felt we had an obligation to take full advantage of it.
Late in the evenings, we enjoy a lot, among others, the view of the sailing boats return to their base, while we are having a drink by the pool. It's so lively and tranquil together. It makes me wonder of how lucky we all are being able to enjoy such beautiful surroundings.
The property was very well prepared and clean, the service we received locally was excellent and helped to ensure we had a great holiday.
The property is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting.
Wow what amazing villas, my family and I have just returned from a two week stay , the first week we stayed in villa Penelope and the second at villa Christina. We booked direct with the owner Maria who was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with , she organised taxis to meet us at the airport on arrival and for our return, she also sent us lots of information about the Area. Once we arrived at villa Penelope there was a welcome pack, of food items all the essential things you need this was a lovely touch As it meant we did not have to rush straight out to the super market. This was left with a welcome note from Marino and Beatie who manage the villas on behalf of the owner .we met Marino a couple of times and he was a lovely guy and again very helpful. The villa was very clean . Linen change and cleaning was carried out once during our stay at each villa. The villas were furnished to a high spec. I could not think of one thing that it did not have that you would need. The villa was perfect with a lovely view and not overlooked by the villa next door. The location was amazing down steps that led to a small shingle beach just outside the property and a few minutes to all tavernas, Yanas family cafe and Stavros just off the pontoon were particularly good. Sivota is beautiful. There was also a small supermarket close by that had a good variety. Villa Penelope had a great size pool bigger than most Villas of the same size,both villas had good air conditioning which is a must . Then on to villa Christina. Wow what a fantastic villa very large, great views and lovely infinity pool . Both villas had plenty of storage and plenty hangers. Lovely high ceilings and again the decor was lovely, we loved the design of the villa with Everything as described, I can only say good things about the villas you will not be disappointed . We had a great time with wonderful memories .
The Cuddihy Family :-)
We stayed at Villa Christina for 4 weeks and enjoyed every day. Everything was as described on the website. The villa was situated a few meters from a small beach with fresh and clear water. The pool at the villa was also really nice. In addition, we could walk for just a few minutes to get to one of the cosy restaurants in the village. We went there with two small children and the villa and the area was perfect for us since we didn't have to rent a car. We want to come back next year!
Recently back from villa Penelope - have to say we loved the villa and the location.
Before we went Maria the owner was very helpful and answered any questions we have.
The villa is very private with no other villas overlooking it - there is a villa next door but you can’t really see or hear any noise from it. The place is done out very tastefully. Sivota itself is lovely with a few nice restaurants and bars.
Be warned though if you are a beach lover this will not do for you - that has to be my only disappointment - there is only a tiny beach below the villa that everyone seems to come to and it’s not nice - I swim in the UK waters but didn't want to swim here.
We were there for 7 days but the villa was only cleaned once that was a bit strange. And there were no basic left like salt and pepper again a bit strange as most villas we have rented provide this sort of thing but all pretty minor but worth mentioning.
Everything was fantasti.,All descriptions were accurate.Property was very clean and very well maaintained and we had good service.I have allready recommended this property to all my friends.Unfortunatelly,we didnt spend much time in Sivota bay to say more about that place,mostly we were sailing around.Mainly, all of us were satisfied with our stay and we liked very much our small beach in front of the property.Thank yuo for enabling us to spend a great holiday.
As a party of six we arrived for our second week in Greece to stay in late September 2013... We had rented the larger Villa Christina...
The house was exactly as viewed on the website but all the more stunning as you stand out over the pool and sea while soaking up the autumn heat...
Sivota a fishing village is now from what we could see supported mainly by the yacht charter business so everything was open still. ..though very quite....which suited us...Great family run small restaurants and someone ate Calamari every day!
Fantastic beaches and stunning views when out and about driving and exploring....
This was a really great location ..though the hill opposite cut our evening sun at this time of the year at 5.30.....All worked well for us and the space for six adults was great.
All our contact with the owner and their managment team was prompt and great customer service.
We will certainly recomend this property, many thanks.
Sivota bay is a lush green area that charms the visitor by the first glimpse. The bay is a safe natural anchorage, very popular with yachts. When the small marina is full the yachts moor 'arodo' (means off-shore) creating a magnificent scenery.
Sivota fishing village has all the amenities for relaxed self-catering holidays. There are several restaurants and cafés, a supermarket, a pebbly beach all surrounded by great nature. All together can keep the visitor busy for several days and a car hire is not essential.
At the west side of Lefkada island there is a series of breathtaking beaches with crystal blue water. Famous beaches like Porto Katsiki, Egremni and Kathisma will never disappoint the visitor.
Vassiliki, a paradise for wind/kite surfing enthusiasts, is only 10 km from Sivota.
The idyllic bays of Lefkada and the little islands around are the perfect sailing waters. Sivota has a small marina and a boat slip to satisfy those very keen on sailing and boating.
