About Jennifer Lewis

My husband David and I bought 5 acres of this beautiful property and built Out of Bounds Trail Condo. We lived there for 4 years until our family doubled in size with the birth of our twin boys. We needed more space so we built the main house in 2010 where we all currently reside. We love the serenity, wildlife and peacefulness living out in the woods and we hope you will find it as special as we do.

Jennifer Lewis purchased this condo in 2006

Why Jennifer Lewis chose Whitefish Lake Area

We bought this property because we wanted acreage and liked the idea of more wildlife than people around. We also like the quick access to town and Glacier Park and lots of hiking trails right out the door.

What makes this condo unique

We fell in love with Out of Bound Trail Condo because you feel like you are living in the tree tops. There are lots of windows looking out at mountains and tree tops. It is especially beautiful in winter when all the trees are laced with snow.

Great place to recharge!

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at Out of Bounds. The place was clean, well-stocked and easy to access. While this place is a bit far from Glacier, we did not find the hour drive to be terrible. We made use of the kitchen daily and the washer and dryer was a nice to have as we used before heading out to Oregon. The only minor issue is that the condo can get a bit warm in the summer when the sun sets as there are no blinds on some of the west facing windows. However, I am sure it is wonderful in the winter. :-) Loved the place and would highly recommend.

The condo had a beautiful country setting that quiet and surrounded by nature. It was very comfortably furnished and we loved the decor. Everything we needed was there, including a dishwasher and washer/dryer with detergent. Ok. Those weren't necessities but nice to have especially with all the cooking we did and many trips for hiking fishing and boating. My husband loved the grill and we all loved the huge deck.

Great family stay

  • 4 of 5

Out of Bounds condo was very comfortable and suited the needs for our family vacation perfectly. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the backyard and the sense of seclusion it provided. The kitchen was very well equipped and having a washer and dryer allowed us to pack lighter.

The west entrance to Glacier NP is about one hour away where we spent a good part of our time.

Thanks Jennifer!

Like home, only better --

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I spent two weeks at Jennifer's condo, and we treated it like our home--everything we needed to cook, clean, and do our laundry was provided, and daaaaang if we didn't take full advantage (particularly of the kitchen).

If you're looking for a somewhat isolated location, this is the place. The condo is accessible only from a one-lane gravel road, the only house visible from the condo is Jennifer's, and the area is totally quiet (save for the occassional bobcat cry in the middle of the night). The town of Whitefish is about a 15-minute drive away, but there are trails and lakes closeby, so there's no need to go into town to have fun. We also made the 40-minute drive up to Glacier quite a few times, and let me tell you... this whole state is beautiful.

The bed was comfortable, albeit a little plush foy my boyfriend (he has back problems, though, so he's an exception). The condo was clean and spacious, and we were very comfortable there. It was the perfect vacation!

Word of advice to out-of-towners coming from the land of pavement: rent an SUV! We rented a tiny little Hyundai Accent, and while we did manage to get around, it was difficult... we found that many (most) of the roads off of the highways are gravel, and gravel breeds potholes.

Loved our stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our 9 day stay at this beautiful mountain retreat!!! Views from every window were amazing and it was sooooooo quiet, day and night! The condo was furnished with everything we needed, so all we had to bring was our clothes and food! We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this property to anyone seeking peace and quiet from the hustle and noise of the city life! We didn't want to leave and would certainly go back!

Beautiful, peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

Just a short, pretty drive on a gravel road to this beautiful location. Our family loved staying at this condo which is just a few minutes' drive from downtown Whitefish. Nice view from the spacious deck. Our kids weren't comfortable climbing the ladder to the loft to sleep in the bed there, but we made up the futon in the living room and that worked just fine. We had everything we needed to prepare dinner (although a steamer would be a nice addition), and we contemplated bbqing but just didn't get around to it. Nice to have a washer/dryer available too. A lovely, clean, well kept place to stay - would definitely return! So nice to have such a sweet dog welcome us each time we returned as well. Jennifer left us a bottle of wine which was such a nice touch and much appreciated at the end of a long day in the park!
