Our cabin is very secluded and nestled deep in the woods on Rich Mountain. Filled with beautiful, rustic decor and a wood burning fire place, everything you need is already there, just bring your clothes and food.
There are 2 bedrooms (each with a queen size bed), 2 bathrooms, a futon couch/bed, a screened porch and an open porch. The screened porch has a gas grill, picnic table and rocking chairs for you to enjoy the scenery.
Outdoors there is a cocktail patio with a fire pit, picnic table and chairs for cooking out.
There is a fully-equipped kitchen, complete with: dish ware, silverware, glassware, tupperware, pots, pans, cookie sheets, coffee maker (filters provided), toaster, microwave, cutting boards, oven gloves, paper towels, napkins, kitchen towels, dishwasher, washer/dryer (you get the picture).
Wood burning, stone fireplace (firewood included), as well as, central heat & air will keep you warm on cold nights and cool during the warm days of summer. But if it’s not too warm, you might want to leave the windows open to allow the soothing sounds of the night to lull you to sleep.
The family room has a flat screen TV, with satellite and DVD player (many family oriented DVDs included). Additionally, each bedroom has a mounted flat screen TV. Wireless internet included, at no extra charge. Puzzles, board games and playing cards are also provided.
WE ARE DOG FRIENDLY FOR WELL-BEHAVED, CLEAN DOGS. If your dog is a big shedder, please, please don't let him/her get in the beds. 95% of people are considerate of this but there are 5% who just don't care. I don't charge a pet deposit and I don't want to have to start.
When you are out and about, you can explore the quaint towns of Blue Ridge (10 miles away) and Ellijay (7 miles away) with their art galleries and antique shops. Visit one of the many orchards in the fall and enjoy the great local peaches, apples and produce available year-round. You MUST try a fried pie!
If you enjoy being active, you will enjoy zip lining, hiking the Appalachian Trail, biking, tubing, boating, fishing, white-water rafting, horseback riding or a scenic train ride to Tennessee. Several brochures are at the cabin for contact information and directions to these activities.
Your perfect romantic getaway, lazy retreat, ladies timeout, birthday or anniversary trip. Our cabin is always spotlessly clean and fresh.

About Clare Anderson
We are a retired couple from Atlanta, GA. We love the mountains (and our small dogs do too) and try to spend as much time there as possible. We always stop and get fresh produce and pies to enjoy when we get home and to share with our neighbors.
Clare Anderson purchased this Cabin in 2008
Why Clare Anderson chose Cherry Log
This area is close to Atlanta but looks nothing like the big city. You will find black bear, wild turkey and any number of other wildlife roaming freely in the woods. Close to the city for convenience but once you arrive you will see and feel none of the city.
What makes this Cabin unique
The floor plan is perfect for couples or family as each side has it's own bedroom and bathroom, no sharing :) The screened porch has no access but from inside the cabin which makes it safe for small pets and children.

Great Weekend Retreat
The cabin was great from the minute we open the door. Greeted to a clean and well maintained cabin. Everything we needed was available to us for the weekend. The weather was not in our favor this weekend but the fireplace made up for that. It was only the 2 of us and we had more then enough room. The Wifi was available and worked for the phones which was our music entertainment. Next time we'll bring our Echo for the music, would have made a big difference for us. We did make it out to the town of Blueridge and enjoyed a wonderful lunch, along with wonder thru the town until dinner. We then stopped at the Blueridge Brewery for dinner and the local brewed beers where not quit as good as expecting, but the food was amazing. We did a little hiking to the Swinging Bridge, which was no far from the cabin. This was a very good weekend for us and we really enjoyed it, just wish we had more time. Thanks to the owns of this cabin for opening it up to us!
Warm and Cozy!!!
Perfect location and getaway!
Perfect quiet getaway
A much needed weekend in front of the fireplace and some good books! And SO incredibly pet friendly for our pup! Very grateful to see all the attention to detail spent making this property pet accessible!
This is the place to stay if you are seeking to hide away from everything. Some doors would not remain closed, but that did not bother us much. I think this place would be a nice stay any time of the year.
Thank you for your review. I hope you enjoyed the peacefulness of the mountains. I apologize for some of the doors not closing properly. During the winter months the humidity level in the cabin causes the wood to shrink, therefore, not closing properly. I apologize for this inconvenience.
I hope you and your family will come back again for another vacation.
We had a perfect mini vacation. The cabin is perfect for a family of 3 to 4. Great attention to detail. They had an area that was gated for the pets. They even had dishes for them if you forgot to bring them. Location is perfect for day trips to Amicolala Falls, Blue Ridge, Ellijay, wineries. Branch Falls is a short drive from the cabin. We are definetely coming back and booking this cabin. The owner was easy to reach and responded promptly. The cabin was spotless and we appreciated the popcorn and note welcoming us on the day we arrived
Absolutely the best stay ever in the North Georgia mountains! Highly recommend this cabin! It will NOT be our last stay here, I hope.
