About the property

Your cabin sits in a peaceful forest just a short walk from a picturesque mountain stream. As you enter you will find your cabin spacious and clean. Cozy and quiet, the perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cabin was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. Although there are neighbors around us, it was quiet and pleasant and with all the trees and shrubs we actually felt like the only ones here. The small nearby creek is a welcome sound and the trek to the water was fun and adventurous. The cabin had all the amenities of home and we felt very welcomed and relaxed. Doug and his wife go out of their way to make sure their guests have the best stay possible.

Nice stay with family in Yosemite

Beautiful cabin in a secluded location. Perfect for a family getaway and located closer to the southern entrance of Yosemite. Highly recommend.

Great Cabin to Stay When Visiting National Parks

  • 5 of 5

Doug was so easy and amazing to deal with. He answered all my questions before and during our stay. Too bad I couldn't meet him in person :) Cabin was beautiful and spotless. Loved all the inside décor, especially the nice touch of microwave popcorn in the "theater" area. Also loved the bison bench on the front porch. We visited Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks during our stay. This cabin was a great middle ground between them. Upon our arrival, there was a deer in the front yard grazing. Very calm and peaceful area. Kitchen had all the things you need and the beds were very comfortable. Only suggestion: a non-slip grip under the large rug near the kitchen. Wish we had more time to explore the area and experience the fishing. Bass Lake area was close by and Manzanita Lake was beautiful. If I ever get back to California to visit the parks, I'd definitely stay at the Tall Red Cabin again.

Cute and comfortable cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is such a cute place and so comfortable. Unfortunately we picked a very hot weekend to go, so we didn't do as much outside in the afternoons as we wanted. The swamp cooler doesn't quite keep the heat down, but we brought an extra fan which helped some. At night it cools down and you can open the windows and it's lovely. Doug has a map of the trail down to the creek and the falls which is so pretty and fun! We had blue jays and hummingbirds and wild turkeys and many butterflies all around the cabin which were delightful. The local pizza place makes fantastic pizza! We spent a day in Yosemite and later went to South Gate Brewery in oakhurst for a delicious meal. We hiked to the falls and went to Bass Lake another day. We enjoyed a great meal on the BBQ. The decor in the cabin is just so cute. We had a wonderful time. Doug is super nice and fast to respond to questions. My sister and I definitely want to come again!

This place is a gem!! Beautiful location, well appointed cabin and wonderful insight and tips for exploring from the owner. Couldn't have asked for anything better. We've stayed in dozens of vacation rentals and this was one of the best!! You won't go wrong by booking the tall red cabin!
