About the owner: I'm a transplanted New Yorker who has been living in SF for 15 years. At present I've founded an organization called LAUNCH that identifies global challenges and accelerates in the market innovative, game changing companies and organizations who are addressing those challenges. Previously I was an Executive Director at WIRED, as well as an entrepreneur with some start-ups under my belt. I love great cities, food, architecture and design. I travel often for both work and pleasure and enjoy a global community of friends and associates. Favorite places: NYC, family place in The Hamptons, Chicago, Barcelona, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Tokyo, When in SF I enjoy flea markets, dinner parties with friends, farmers market at The Ferry Building on Saturday
Why the Owner Chose Outer Mission, San Francisco, CA, USA:
If you are looking for a truly unique property in SF that is authentic SF Victorian. This house is special. The house has history. It was built in 1880 in a completely different section of SF. Then around 1900 and before the Great Earthquake and Fire it was moved in its entirety to the Glen Park section of SF. It was moved (I suspect) to be a model home in a new real estate development in Glen Park. The development was being done by Behrend Joost 'The Father of South West San Francisco'. It is clear that someone cared deeply about this house to design it with such detail as well to have moved it piece by piece to this location. The house is exquisitely appointed with exquisite furniture, plush beds and bedding, and Victorian claw foot bath. Modern conveniences of a chef's kitchen, 3 cable TVs, security alarm, and wireless internet. Nice views from master bedroom of SF hills which with its east direction will have the sun and moon rising over the hill every day. Relaxing garden with Palms, seating and flowers. Conveniently located for easy access to The Mission, Potrero Hill, and Downtown.
