This villa is convenient to Sonoma and Napa valleys. Two miles one way is the Sonoma Highway (Hwy. 12), a beautiful drive dotted with many wineries, such as, B.R. Cohn, Valley of the Moon, St. Francis, Arrowood, Imagery, Mayo, Wellington, Kunde, Kenwood, Ledson, and many others. On the Sonoma side you will find fun & lively restaurants and wine tasting rooms of the town of Glen Ellen (~2 miles), tasty restaurant and famous spa in Kenwood (~5 miles) or the historic town and restaurants in Sonoma Plaza (~9 miles).
Traveling the other way you reach Highway 29, the main scenic road through the Napa Valley ~8 miles away. In fact, many of the most famous destination towns in the Napa Region are close. Yountville, with the world famous French Laundry and Bouchon restaurants, is ~11 miles away; St. Helena, with its shops and restaurants is ~14 miles away.

This property is located in the heart of wine country, on a mountain pass between Hwy 12 (aka Sonoma Hwy) and Hwy 29 (the main road through Napa). Is well-located for views, and to visit two of the world's most famous wine regions - Napa Valley and Sonoma. It is close to Sonoma on a scenic ridge between Napa and Sonoma, overlooking the Valley of the Moon (aka Sonoma Valley). Two miles down the road is the quaint village of Glen Ellen, and the Sonoma Highway. Glen Ellen is the site of multiple fine restaurants and a high-end gourmet grocery store. The Sonoma Highway is part of a 17-mile stretch of wineries. Just to the North of Glen Ellen is Kenwood, just five miles away from the property and home to the world class Kenwood Spa and additional restaurants. A 9-mile scenic drive south leads to the historic Sonoma Plaza with restaurants, wine tasting, supermarkets, etc. If you head down the mountain in the other direction, you will find yourself in the Napa Valley, starting at Oakville, with Rutherford, Yountville and St. Helena just a few miles beyond. San Francisco Airport is about 60 miles away. There are plenty of activities nearby. Hike the scenic Overlook Trail, horseback ride, or even rent kayaks.

We live in San Francisco, but fell in love with wine country. After years looking, we finally found a home on our favorite road in Sonoma, between the Sonoma and Napa Valleys. We have always been fans of Mid-Century Modern Architecture. We fell in love with this home at first sight. We are avid users of vacation rentals, and this home gives us the opportunity to provide all the amenities we have found so inviting over the years. We hope you love our home as much as we do!
