Ahh! Kick-back, relax and breathe the clean mountain air. Enjoy the soothing aroma of the tall pines and cedars that will surround you in our comfortable cabin, perfectly located in beautiful Blue Lake Springs.
One feature we enjoy after a fun-filled family day, is the upstairs family room for the kids. They can have their time while we enjoy the large living room, warmed by the wood-burning stove.
Another amenity you will appreciate is you will have day use of a full size ski locker in the locker room at Bear Valley. Leave your skis, boards, kids extra clothes, lunch, etc. while you're there. It makes for a very relaxing time.
You and your family will enjoy our cozy mountain cabin that has a location that you will LOVE. It's only steps to Snowflake Lake, the Rec Center and Sequoia Wood County Club.
Our kids walk to the lake, the rec center and the pool, floaties under arm. Yours can too. You'll have use of all of the Blue Lake Springs facilities; two lakes, a pool, tennis courts, ping pong, shuffleboard, volleyball, manicured lawns, lakeside beaches and much more. There is a very reasonable guest fee charged by Blue Lake Springs for the use of the facilities.
There's lots of deck area, with lots of sun and nice forest views and plenty of privacy.
The cabin will sleep 6-7 comfortably. There are 3 bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs and two full baths. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, one upstairs has a double and the other has 3 twin beds. There is a queen hide-a-bed in the family room sofa.
We've been living part-time in Arnold for almost twenty years. The location of this cabin is by far our favorite. Our four kids love it here. The kids are getting older and we're not using it as much as we used to. We still enjoy it occasionally, but would like to share it with others.
Jim purchased this cabin in 2005
My husband and I recently stayed here with our 2 young children for a long holiday weekend. We loved it! It was clean, comfortable and very cozy. We loved the living area with the warm wood burning stove. There was plenty of comfy seating and is where we spent most of our time. The pictures really don't do this home justice. Cabin was in a good location, was easy to get to, and was only a short drive from town.
When we arrived we saw a family of deer right near the cabin. Loved the bed in the main bedroom, it was very comfortable and had a heating blanket for those cool evenings. There is a cute little bedroom upstairs with two twin beds which is where our kids slept and enjoyed having their own area. It stayed very toasty and warm for them with the wall heater in the bedroom. We loved the wrap around deck in the mornings where we enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate, but wish there were more chairs and seating areas on the huge deck, and would have been nice to have a fire pit. The kitchen was a good size and opened up to the dining/living room combo. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, silverware, glasses, cookware, cutting boards, etc. All we needed to bring was our food. It had all the space we needed for our family of 4, and we would love to stay here again. It was a great place to unwind and relax. Jim the owner was very kind, helpful, and informative and had a great response time to any questions I had. I would recommend this home to anyone looking in the area.
We have rented this lovely cabin twice in the past 5 months and can't recommend it enough. If you are looking to relax, unwind and enjoy the mountains this is the place to be, especially if you have a dog and kids. A very short walk to the Snowflake Lodge & Rec Center and the property itself has plenty of room to play. The cabin is stocked with lots of games for the whole family and the kitchen has everything you need. Jim is extremely responsive, helpful an kind.
This cabin was great for our family of four. Very clean and comfortable. The main living area has awesome windows that let in a lot of light. It looks better in person than the pictures! We used the Blue Lake Rec Center every day, and the pool (with a lifeguard) was great for our kids. Only about 3 miles from the Big Trees State Park. We definitely plan to return!
The cabin was everything we wanted! Great cabin layout and location. The deck is the perfect place to relax and enjoy being in the mountains! Highly recommended!
We had a great time. The cabin is perfect for families, very convenient to town and only 30 min drive to Bear Valley. The house is also dog friendly which is wonderful.
The owner Jim is great and helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we go back.
Romantic weekend getaway for just the two of us.Nice cozy cabin in an excellent location. Very close to Snowflake Lodge. Like many places a tad dated but extremely clean and everything worked. Great deck and comfortable furnishings. Best of all they allow pets so our Golden was able to come along.
Five minutes from the cabin is BIG TREES STATE PARK, which features miles of hiking trails, some of the largest trees in the world, fishing and bird watching.
Also five minutes from us is the town of Arnold and White Pines lake, which is WELL STOCKED with trout. It's a beautiful lake for swimming, fishing, small boat sailing, kayaking and just plain hanging out. Just a few feet from White Pines lake is one of the trailheads for the Arnold RIM TRAIL which is a first class mountain bike and walking trail (dog friendly). There are many miles of mountain bike and 4-wheel drive trails within minutes.NEW!: There's a disc golf course next to White Pines Lake.

Check out Alpine Lake, Utica Lake, Union Lake, New Melones Dam, Spicer Lake and don't forget the majestic Stanislaus River which is 15 minutes from our place.
There is WINE TASTING and shopping in the beautiful town of Murphys, explore caves and go zip lining at Moaning Caverns, spend some time in the historic town of Columbia with stage coach rides (complete with stage coach robbers), a black smith and an old-fashioned candy store,
Beautiful Sequoia Woods golf course is 300 yards (less than a Bubba Watson drive) from our front door.
In the winter, SKI and SNOWBOARD AT BEAR VALLEY, a 30 minute drive. Bear Valley is the most family-friendly ski resort in California. The terrain varies from beginner to double-black diamond. There's SNOWMOBILING there too.
Bear Valley offers cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, and snow shoeing. Bear Valley Lodge offers dining, games & cocoa by the giant stone fireplace; the perfect spot to warm up after a day in the snow.
For summer fun, SWIM, FISH and PLAY (Bring your floaties) in Snowflake lake located only 200 yards from the cabin. The lake, complete with a lifeguard, features a beautiful sandy beach, volleyball, dock and mid-lake floats for your pleasure. We've watched our kids catch many tadpoles, frogs and fish which has been very entertaining for all.
The POOL (with lap lanes and adult swim times) and RECREATION CENTER with tennis, shuffleboard, ping pong are only a few steps more. WATCH OUTDOOR MOVIES on some of the warm summer nights. You might enjoy the evening BINGO games or perhaps a game of bocce.
