I purchased this little house for friends and family. I raised my children on these beaches since the seventies and understand the unique character of the beautiful Galveston area and the people who chose to call it home. Choosing to rebuild after Hurricane Ike, I live, work and play here, the best place in Texas.
Sidney purchased this House in 2016

Sidney couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. She was super friendly & helpful to the point of anticipating what I would need before I even realized I needed it. (Without “hovering” or showing up unexpectedly.) The house is in a great area, close to everything, and cozy without seeming small or stuffy. I was traveling alone, but it would have easily accommodated a small family or two couples without feeling cramped. It’s nicely remodeled & furnished, but still had all the charm you’d expect from an older Galveston beach house. (Not to mention central air & up to date technology.) I would definitely stay again & recommend it to anyone looking in the area.
Very clean, nicely appointed house in a central location.
We had a great stay here. The house is very clean and has everything you need. It’s in a good location and everything is easily accessible. The owner is very attentive and pleasant to deal with. Thank you!
Sidney was very hospital and friendly. The place was clean and accommodating. Everything was convenient, excellent and close to everything. It's like being in our own home. I recommend this place to anyone, if I come again would stay here again. Sidney responded quickly when the power went out. It was a pleasant stay.
Thank you Martha for choosing Beach House Dinghy. I know you have lots of choices and I want you to know I really appreciate you. I wish the utility company wasn't having issues with the electric pole. I love that they responded and fixed the issue in less than an hour. Thank you for taking exceptional care of the house. Please come visit again. I would love to be your host.
We loved our vacation at Galveston. Overall great time! We had issue with washing machine but Sidney was so caring and quick to communicate with us and get repaired as soon as possible. She even offered to let us use her machine and was so kind. She was so excited to share about property and the area. She gave us some great leads on tourism in the area. The only two drawbacks were the neighborhood being at little rougher than we first thought and not having complete wall between living room and master bedroom, which was a little different and lacked a little privacy since we had son sleeping in living room on cot. But, overall, we VERY clean and nice house. Thank you so much, Sidney!!!
Galveston Island neighborhoods are unique and diverse. Located blocks from UTMB Hospital and the beach, the residents consist of medical and nursing students, doctors , researchers, renters and 3 and 4th generation homeowners. Home prices in this neighborhood range from $100,000 to over a $1,000,000 .This diversity is what makes Galveston Island what it is today.
Very clean and well organized.
Great quick get away
Homey cozy cottage. Very clean and confortable.
Felt welcomed as if we were visiting a friend. Beds and all were comfortable and clean. We recomend the place to anyone looking a home like experience.
We are a 5 minute walk from the seawall and around the corner from unique local restaurants, bars, cafés and UTMB Medical Center. Galveston has loads of activities appropriate for the entire family. Come visit Pleasure Pier, Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens or come surf, paddle boarding, kayaking or just come to lay on the beach. If antique shopping is your cup of tea, we have little shops all over the island. Of course don't forget the amazing Historic Districts, showcasing beautiful Victorian and early 1900 homes.
